Replace souths with the bulldogs as genuine chances. The dogs are hitting form at the right time and have Barba to return to be at full strength. Comp starts again at finals time...
How time can change things. Dogs are nowheresville.
Hindsight will tell us if we have peaked too soon but you should never prepare a team to lose for that reason. Teams have "memories". What I mean is, when you run out of juice in a semi-final and you are scambling to stay in the game, a winning "memory" can be the difference. Robinson has no option but to prepare the strongest team every week. My mates are asking me what I think Robinson will do in the last round against Souths. A loss to Souths could mean an "easier" semi the following week. I never answer. What a great position to be in if that were to be the case. Robbo's call.
Since I was a boy, one premiership in 30 odd years.
In those 30 years, the roosters were often favourites to win comps prior to kick offs.
As Bansai eluded, a loss to souffs would be horrendous.
just remember souff$ will be at full strength leading up to round 26. their goal will be to beat us , being minor premiers, and send a message to everyone else.
a fully fit and turned on roosters will be anyone. injuries leading up to the finals will crucify us.

I go back to first principles every time.
Souffs do one thing more than us consistently.
Leak points.
I maintain the team with the best defense will win the comp.
