Yeah at the time I told those people to basically shut up...
Now its hit the waves though, maybe it's true?

I still doubt it... but maybe.

        This is very interesting.

this is really hard to grasp, i know this has happened before to other teams in other codes in other leagues, but for it to happen at the Roosters this year and fitzys last game to be possibly effected like this is beyond comprehension !!!

you know what gets me though, as pump mentioned, this was highly organised, yet they could not get their acts together on the field !

I am very very upset !

If they're found guilty then I'm finding myself a different NRL club...
I don't want to be associated with such a dishonest bunch of ****wits! They get paid enough to be able to afford the ****ing brothel themselves, and they're paid to WIN, not to fart around and rig games.

If found guilty... it shows we were capable of possibly making the top 8! Like... we could smash teams like the Cowboys 30-0 if we wanted to, but chose to lose and look stupid instead, letting down the fans, the hard working players and the club legends! What a bunch of ****wits... (if found guilty... I still have BIG doubts.)

I'd say most of the brothels they hit up around the SFS area would be in Soufs territory, so my guess is that if they were getting free services it was:
          1) Because the brothel owner was a Soufs fan and bet against the cocks every week. Maybe as a joke he said "boys boys... you deserve some relaxation"
          2) Because they are regulars, spend a lot of money, HAVE a lot of money and bring their mates along... some kind of an incentives system.

So because some of them may be dishonest, you will dump the team.....

Each to their own.....I know I will be here for the duration........thick and thin.....

Besides if this is true, there could be a chance that there will be no team to dump....we could very well be kicked out for something this serious if it extended right through the very core....

All this high horse vitriol!!!! Both the NRL & the NSW Police have said that they haven't heard anything & are not looking into it...

It's all a beat up from some disgruntled player or management person. Of course the papers would never tell a lie or put into print stories that aren't true!!!

We had a bad season. We were a crap side. Get over it!!!

For those people who are 'Supposedly in the know'... PROVE IT!!!!

Bigfella, look who wrote the article, look what they wrote the day before.. Note the timing.. Before and after the biggest all sydney semi-final in history.. The AFL was found to have paid News Ltd for positive press during the C7 pay tv trial over football rights.. Rest assured they are also paying the SMH to provide negative coverage of the NRL.. Magnay has spent all year digging dirt on the NRL.

Interesting to note Glen Munsie's comments on MMM this morning.

They (Centrebet) have not asked for an investigation, whilst they thought that the betting for the Cowboys on that particular game was strange, the biggest bet they took on the game was $7,500 which to quote him "merely a drop in the bucket".

I would have backed the Cowboys by 13+ and would have considered anyone who thought otherwise was an idiot.

i heard that as well, and if I was going to do something like this, i'd bet $5K at lots of betting agencies to reduce suspicion, ie tab, iasbet, centrebet, etc
It does seem strange that they weren't hit harder, if it's true, which unfortunately I think is the case.

Perhaps, if true, the fans should have first access to these players, face to face and what ever is left, can be persecuted.

Ofcourse the sting went from agency to agency - the odds would have dramatically gone down after a $5k bet on a weird margin when Easts were favourites. Cowboys +13 started at near $6 on Thursday night and was $3 something by Saturday....it's just way too smelly IMO.
