I think it's ours to lose. We've been blessed with an easier draw overall than the Rabbitohs, and I think that'll get us over the line.

Do you persist with pestering early morning turds? Because you're following my posts around like a bad smell.
Nice pun by me by the way.

Really couldn't careless about the Minor premiership, it's called minor for a reason, winning the Title is all that counts.

The way things are going RND 26 could be a nothing game Where if that is the case Strong consideration should be given to resting players
The last time a team rested players as you have suggested was Melbourne in the last game in 2011 when they had already wrapped up the minor premiership. They played us in the last round & we absolutely flogged them. They then came up against the 8th placed Raiders who they beat unconvincingly in what i would describe as a fairly soft semi. They then had a week off and played the Warriors in the GF qualifier who were on a roll and got beaten.

My point being with this is that all the momentum that Melbourne had built up until the 2nd last round was lost. They had players going into a GF qualifier who hadnt had a solid hit out for a month.

While the semi system he has now changed the point I have made is still a valid one, resting players can cause a team to lose momentum which is not what you want going into the semi's. If we're good enough it doesnt matter who we play, if we play close to our best we win, even against Melbourne.

In recent history we have been an exciting side to watch. By recent history , I mean in the last 13 years or so. Between 2000-2010, we made 5 gf's ,we should have rightfully won three of those were we not dudded by the refs(most evidently: in the travesty of 2010),we've played in 6 finals series, and our side has always had international and origin footballers. You compare that to many teams in the comp and you'd find it hard to see similar sorts of stats. The only other sides I can think of are the Broncos, Melbourne( even though technically they have been stripped of their titles), and probably Manly during the Hasler period.

Souffs are a joke when you look at the last 10 years. They've made the finals twice in the last 11 years only to bow out in the opening stages.

Whether we win the minor premiership or the gf this year, I will always wear RWB and be proud of it. Many opposition fans will always play the "they buy all the good players card". That is complete and utter BS. Not every team that have purchased big name signings have managed to pull off success like we have this season.
                  Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Melbourne lost to a better team fullstop It had nothing to do with resting players 3 weeks earlier I also think our squad is far more balanced than the Melbourne one of 2009 Ensuring we will give a good account of oursleves in rnd 26 even if we do chose to rest players
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

I understand your point about resting player, i was just pointing out it also has its dangers. Anyway lets just see how things unfold over the last few rounds

My main game (always) to win is the preliminary final.

To earn the right to have your team in the build up week leading to the big day is priceless... media saturation.

Hurts me more to lose that game than the big one TBH...

It would be even worse to miss out on GF day this year with Ricky Martin as the pre game entertainment

I agree losing that one is just a huge kick in the nuts, at least if you lose the GF you can you got there.
