Have you seen Wells and McDonald play? Wells needs a lot more bulk and McDonald despite his athleticism can make some horrible errors under no pressure at the back.
    Hi Cockadoodledo

Yes I have seen them play and have been quite impressed with McDonald... very raw but full on and talented. Wells does need some bulk up yes.

Its amazing what an off season and the passage of time can do for both.

I just hate to over insure by buying elsewhere when we have already invested in young players for the future.

Mogas da bomb....he just needs some luck with injuries.

I hope it's true. Too many dumb mistakes and it frees up cap space for upgrades. The latter is going to be crucial if we start winning trophies or have players make rep sides.

Lol first the Warriors, then the Sharkies and now Parra. Lord knows where SKD will end up... I'm expecting the next rumour to be SKD to Real Madrid

We'll get C.Ronaldo in a swap and he'll kick us some conversions from the touchline. His defence can't be worse than SKD.
            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

Personally I get the impression Trent has been putting in a lot of time breaking down and rebuilding SKD from the ground up.

Over 2011 and 2012 every facet of his game slowly got worse, with his form at the start of this season abysmal. However over the past 5-6 weeks since his terrible showing in the parramatta game, its like he has suddenly developed some fundamental defensive technique.

Take a look over the last few weeks at how he handles himself when the ball is spread out his way. He looks so much more sure of where he is supposed to be and rarely if ever leaves his man anymore. His rushing out of the line has also become much more calculated where previously it was simply a panic move. Looks like he has been working extremely hard on his defensive game and its finally starting to take some shape.

Wouldn't be surprised if we now start seeing similar improvements in his attacking game in the lead into the finals now.

I don't think he'll leave us just yet with Moga being sidelined for another season. No point tossing skids when the youngster you want to replace him with is still unproven.

Spot on - SKD has improved a lot in the past few weeks.

Yes, he has improved, but when put into comparison with the improvements of friend, JWH, even minichiello, it seems non-existant.
People seem to have just overlooked the fact that he made 2 stupid, glaring errors in the game against the sharks. one where he lost the ball forward trying to offload in a tackle and the other where he just dropped it cold. he is a liability.
we can't have liabilities in our team.

Until he starts whacking with his shoulders in defense he will always be a liability. Have seen him do it once or twice over the last six years. Just seems scared to go in hard and hurt in defense. He closes his eyes and prays he doesn't drop a nugget or two in his pants.

We can't have liabilities, but we also can't have Mal Meninga and Inglis in the centres with Sonny Bill and Andrew Johns co-captaining the team.

Teams need some lesser but still valuable players, and Robinson is trying to mold Skidsy into as valuable a player as possible.

We also don't have any better alternatives (unlike the situation with Minichiello, where most believe Sheck to be a better option).

no, we cant have superstars all over the park, but what we can have is cheap players that will come and do their job. that is why coaches like bellamy are being praised. they turn nothing players into team members who get the job done. eg waqa, norrie etc.
right now, SKD is on $350K in a team that is 2nd in tries scored and he's only scored 4. He is rocks and diamonds in defence and we all know he has flippers for hands. I would rather the money be used on keeping our younger players here.
