      No - that's improvement - hardly success

No one is questioning his desire and love for the club, but those alone dont guarentee success.

I have been told his financial input into the club NOW is very minimal and that the club can and has survived without his financial support. Changes do need to be made, whether its Politis or his friends on the board I dont know. But what I do know is the decisions that have been made over the past 30 havent led to much success.

No its not. Success IMO is competing in finals on the park and having financially sound and strong football club off it

Your definition of minimal may be different to mine.

It is true that he has scaled back in the last few seasons - and the results (due to our player roster) have spoken for themselves.

The wooden spoon has rocked him and he takes full responsibility for it (as he said at the awards night).

They are going after big names and that means he is stepping up to the plate again - big time.

So Bum Man, He is going to try and buy his way out again? How many years has he tried to do that? Will the great man ever learn?

Have you enjoyed the last few years Melonhead?

If you think we didn't "buy our way out" in 2000 to 2004 your Melon has obviously been split.

its not as if freddy came to the roosters on a pittance? along with sing we would have paid dearly, about that time we also bought fitzy, so there is a lot to be said for forking out the big ones for the right players!?

Ha Ha Ha.. Good one. You know more than anyone how much Ive enjoyed and hated the last few years you bum.

Think about it....We are after big names...what did we go after the last few years? Big names...Mason, Myles, OMeley,.....and we won a spoon!!! We also went after Bennett. We went after him so hard, we didnt have the smarts to get the pinhead's signature on paper. We can chase...but we NEVER catch success.

We also bought a shitload of HUGE names in the 90s...it got us nowhere Monseur Anus.

Its time Politis invested heavily...really heavily in small clubs with a ton of kids. So in a decade, Easts will be contesting finals every year like those ****wit Broncos.

And we havent got Hayne. And we arent likely to get him. Forget Jennings too. They are done deals with their respective clubs. Jennings 4 years, Hayne 3 with a 3 year option. Dont even entertain the thought of Tuquiri.....he'll be worse than Dale Shearer.

So we better look for other big names. Ask The Candyman, he'll tell you.

Politis is a great Easts man but unfortunately he has more money than sense.

I liken him to a spoilt brat who has already made himself sick gorging on lollies, but demands an ice cream and a packet of chips as well, just because he can and he knows he'll get it.

It's all about me, me, me - gimme, gimme, gimme. And the players just lap it up and take advantage.
