  • Well, FPN, SKD, Kennedy, Pearce, M Aubusson and Friend are the last remaining of our 07-09 key Roosters-developed crop (Mini obviously excluded). Most of the others either went to sh*t (Soliola, Sa, Paea, Shackleton, Cherrington, Jones) or found varying levels of success at other clubs (Perrett, Shillington, Tupou, L'Estrange, Symonds, Waqa).

Of the above-mentioned players, remember that other than the honeymoon period of late 07-early 08, these were awful years for us. Largely because many of the above players had wraps on them that far exceeded their actual value as players.

    What has changed?

Pearce is still a great defender but has yet to rectify his decision-making which is still very questionable.
SKD is still painfully inconsistent, with shocking defense and terrible handling.
Kennedy still lacks impact at the line, and is far too lethargic at the best of times.
Aubusson has this awful habit of just disappearing from games and seeming like he isn't even playing.
FPN still has poor fitness, lacks composure and has no consistency in his game.
Friend still is relatively one-dimensional, and also has a bad knack of penalties.

    NONE OF THIS HAS CHANGED.

These players need to be held accountable for the fact that, since their debuts during that period, they are STILL carrying the same flaws in their game and they have not been rectified. The only thing that has changed is the quality of players around them (Myles, Anasta, Carney, Ryles, Graham in 2010; O'Donnell, SBW, Maloney, Moa, Jennings in 2013). Our newer crop of youngsters like Cordner, Tupou, Sheck, Liu look better, but they all have flaws too. Let's see if they are nurtured correctly and their flaws are stamped out early, so it doesn't become a recurring chorus like it has become now.

      • So disappointing to throw a game away. Apart from the opening 20 mins I thought the defence was okay. Our attack was poor, panic close to the line and the kicking game was F###. That is the only word for it.
And for SKD, he falls over the line we win the game.

        • Martin Luther Kennedy has a sore foot.

You guys are getting more entertaining every week.

I'm betting this weeks will reach new highs.

          Yeah baby. On the knoll.

          The FlogPen .

          You know it makes sense.

We got killed because a tap back from a kick and a rebound kick led to two trys, skd let the ball get knocked out because he was doing the chicken dance and that fat sloth Kennedy took the field. God help me if I hear one person on here tell me he has a sore fnn foot, I'm gonna hunt u down and have u live with my wife for a week.

Warriors rode their luck to the hilt, but did defend great.

It had absolutely nothing to do with size. But u r right. Sam Moa is a bloody gun and should go straight back to starting and Tasi needs to come in for sloth.
I agree. I think you're the only one ive seen on this forum to realise things like that can't be predicted and are hard to defend, they just got the bounce of the ball that led to two try's. Our attack was ordinary and the defence was good
