You're right about SBW, his role has changed a bit in the absence of JWH & Moa & LoDs not a genuine front rower, however I can't really see SBW having another quiet game.

Tend to agree... we are ready to bust one out I think...surprised at the cautious pessimism on here about this game...
I had to laugh last week when i read some were so confident against the Eels. We almost lost it. Same story this week imo. It'll be close and the players need to treat it as such without being overconfident

not really. his kicking game has been poor for quite a while now without much improvement. I don't see it changing much

I find it amusing how everyone thinks Pearce's short kicking game will suddenly improve at the back end of the season. I for one hope it does but as he hasn't got it right in the past 7 seasons, one should think it will be an uphill battle against the Niagara falls for Pearce to have it sorted by September.

I hope you are right. We need him to play well tomorrow night. We miss JWH and Moa, hopefully we get through tomorrow night with the Warriors off their game and get the 2 points as I cannot see us troubling the Bulldogs next Friday night.

I can, especially if Barba gets selected for QLD. Have some faith, we actually have a pretty decent footy team, although coming on here you wouldnt know it. The negativity on this forum is unbelievable.

I cant. no Jennings, Maloney, pearce or Hargreaves. that's four of our best 5 players missing.
plus the fact moa may not be there, and rts is still on the wing, im not expecting us to go close to winning seeing as they will have a full strength team bar morris and possibly Reynolds.

Just trying to stay positive. Maybe i'm trying to find reasons why we can win rather than look for reasons we can lose. Each to there own i suppose.

The thing for me is that most of the teams who you would normally think are strong don't look that great this year. (Taking Melbourne and Souths out of the equation)

I watched the dogs play manly yesterday and Canterbury look really pedestrian in attack. I will never know how they put 24 points on Manly. That just goes to show how poor Manly are looking right now as well. 3 home defeats recently at fortress brookvale (I am loving that)

Canberra look the 'dark horse' IMO for a top 4 spot.

Seen a bit of talk that our form is gone and we will be lucky to win against a hot Warriors side. I think the games against Warriors, Broncos, Eels, Dogs (at their worst) Dragons and Panthers made people think we were unstoppable and that we were going to win comfortably every week. Obviously we aren't but I am still happy about how we are going.

We are 6 from our last 7 with the only loss being against the Storm. Even in the last 4 weeks we travelled to Brooky/North Queensland and grinded out wins when it looked like we were gone. That there shows we aren't just making up the numbers like the last two seasons.

All the people that reckon they know what they are talking about say a good team is able to win even if they aren't at their best and that's what happened against the Eels. We had neither of our starting props as well as well as our best outside back and both our halves backing up from Origin 2 days before hand, and if you take away that bullsh*t try then we win by 20. Even with the try I wasnt worried during the game.

Warriors are farked. They've played in Sydney 3 times this year and got whacked 40-10 by Parra, 28-4 by Cronulla and 62-6 by Penrith. We will make it 4/4. If it was in New Zealand then maybe they're a chance but they are at our home and we will smash them.

                    Up the farkin' Chooks!!

And the Bulldogs next week is going to be even tougher.

At this stage of the season, other teams are beginning to come good, and we're plateauing.

                      That's how I see it.
We're so much better than that.

mate I am, and probably always will be, a realist.
im not going to shroud my mind with false hope just so I can be more and more disappointed each time.

You call it being a realist, i call it being a pessimist, always looking to find negatives so you wont be disappointed.

And yes i am "realistic" to know some weeks we're going to struggle, but I still try to stay positive, I suppose thats just me though.

does putting 'I suppose its just me' and 'each to their own' make you feel modest?
because the only thing im seeing in you is your lunacy when you think we will beat Canterbury next week.

We are still as dumb as ever Coggy, terrible loss with our Origin players out next week against a rampaging Dogs.

We are about to get sucked back into the middle of the 8.
