We went backwards all night after that.

Players who make mistakes like that, no matter how many tries they've scored, must have their behaviour corrected.
In a similar way to dumb posters? Maybe with the use of a cattle prod? Matches under the fingernails?

    Get a grip mate.

Just wondering, were you a supporter when we were shit? How did you manage?

I feel for Reynolds not getting a run.
Daley would be under the pump today if the Blues lost. Reynolds would be gutted and potentially feel his position under threat.

Gallen's stats show he played better than Lewis. But you cant have him win MOM - he should have been marched.

Stats maybe. But Luke's game was better.

Gallen was his usual self, didn't stop going forward all game and lead by example. Certainly not a send off in origin but if we're being fair dinkum he should have been given 10. I get the feeling the refs had in the back of their mind that they didn't give Cronk 10 when he held down Maloney after his line break.

Lewis was the deserved MOM though. He tough the tough hit ups and also looked dangerous off the back of Pearce. Don't understand the criticism of Pearce's game on here tbh. He was sound in every facet and it was the exact type of game you want from a halfback. Directed his forwards up the field, created some space for his edge men with play before the line, kicked very well imo, was solid as in defence all game, even made a try saver on Cronk a couple of metres out. And most importantly didn't overplay his hand as he might have in the past.

There is a tackling technique which was used thoroughly last night by the maroons which may soon become an area of concern.

It's when three players come in to tackle a bloke standing upright, two players bend his body forward holding onto his shoulders and neck area and the third bloke chops his legs out from underneath him. I saw it at least once every set of six and even more towards the end of the game. I suspect someone may get injured because of this tackling style in the not too distant future because it is quite dangerous.

Lewis deservedly won man of the match. His carries were immense.

Maloney was very busy. Great game. And Pearce had his best Origin that I can remember.

Not that I give much of a shit about Origin.
My summary would concur with this...

I noticed they were tackling very high with both palms and putting their hands over people's eyes.

An example was when a bomb went up early on and (Slater I think?) used his hands to block the catcher's eyes. He then followed through and grabbed him around the head, forcing his palms into his eyes.

A number of stills have shown QLD players with palms chearly forced into NSW players' eyes. Seemed a bit dodgy particularly given how tight refs have been asked to be regarding any contact with the head.

                              ---

Of note wasn't Inglis bloody useless!! I hope they pick him as centre again because he's forgotten how to play in the centres.

The refs still heavily favour QLD... it annoys me because to me this means we need decisive wins. We need wins where we dominate the whole game and give them no chance, whereas they'll be allowed to have sloppy undeserving wins.

Glad our 3 were some of the best one the park!
