Talking about SOO, can you believe the draw for this week-end.
Brisbane virtually play a Friday night game 80% of the time, while we very rarely do. This week-end we play Friday when both our halves and strike centre will be backing up and Brisbane have the Monday night game.
Not sure about it being telecast in the US. Wasn't Dubai or Roosterfarian asking a similar question recently. They might have the answer.

I remember reading somewhere that playing Friday night is actually better than later in the weekend as the soreness really kicks in after a couple of days.

Could be faulty memory on my part but I'm pretty sure.

Try Fox Soccer Plus Brian. It's on in the states in most sports bars. Check the website for schedule.

No faulty memory. Tallis said on the weekend that he would rather play on Friday because you're either still on a high from the win, or motivated from the loss. The pain doesn't kick in until the Saturday-Sunday.

In regard to the original question, Roosterfarian is right. This is from the NRL website.

draw was done last yr from memory, before we signed jennings, and no one probably even gave a second thought into thinking maloney would be playing this well to get the #6 for nsw.

Probably ........ I mean last two series the NSW boys were a refs decision away from winning them.
As long as our forwards do the job no Gallen and bird straying in the backs and get more ball into the halves hands not like last year Farah had his hands on every ball.

I thought this was a sowie thread, but I realized their wasn't a "k" at the end of the thread title.

Apparently he's gone on walk about to think about his career. He must be best mates with Sandow.

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

They're primed. I backed the Blues by 12+ with Tommy W and got $5.50.

dude I wish you success. But as you surely must realise, seeing as you mentioned it in regard to last year, the refs have more influence over this sport than any other sport you can wager on. There is only so much match fixing that can go on in tennis - ball is in or out - it's obvious on the replay. But in NRL how long defenders are allowed to lie over tackled players? whether the refs allow more time for defenders to release tackled players when they have dived to get a quick play the ball? greg inglis knocking on and having it called a fair try? Calling back brilliant legal offloads that should have led to tries as "forward passes" (SBW to SKD Melbourne game), when in the same games there are a dozen dummy half forward passes allowed through? A 10 metre defensive rule that is enforced inconsistently and at the refs' convenience and inclination?

I backed the bulldogs to beat us in the 2004 GF. Strange feeling as I picked up my $1000. It was a kind of emotional insurance.

Strange about the 2013 roosters - we have dominated most games thoroughly and still lost the penalty counts. I think the refs from the Bill Harrigan "tip sheet" era, under which referees were instructed not to call the game as they saw it, but under preconceived perceptions that certain teams like Easts were ill disciplined and deserved to be carved up in the penalty count, are still at large and carrying the same bone headed prejudices - should Easts have lost the penalty count to Parra when we beat them 50-nil? Just asking....

I just hope that wager with the white-toothed smiling son of the jailbird was a modest, fun one.....

I reckon Maloney is going to have a blinder.
