Have seen this going around on a few sites.
No truth in this rumour whatsover!

Some Souffs twit started a thread on leagueunlimited based on nothing and it's just snowballed.

Kane is a fine young lad who's held in high regard by the club (esp Uncle Nick) both on & off the field. Yes he's itching at the chance to play 1st grade, like any aspiring rookie would be however, he understands & accepts the career path mapped out at the Roosters
and has been working really hard on certain aspects of his game. In his first full year for the Jets he has stepped up and is seen as a leader much the same as the last 2 years in U20's.

Be patient all & keep the faith. The Roosters hardly ever lose players they want to keep. James Tamou is a good example.....why would we release or allow Kane to go elsewhere and regretfully watch him carve up other teams including ours??

Are you affiliated with the club and have insights into this? Seems you are close to Newtown or know the Evans family?

I don't know why he would want to leave (contracted until 2014) when there's no better chance of getting a run at Souths.
Souths are getting rid of Asotasi and Lima next season, which means they have three Burgess brothers to share prop duties.

It must be disheartening for him to have not had a run yet. JWH, Moa, Tasi, FPN, Liu, Kennedy, and LOD all ahead of him so far. Hopefully he is the type to push harder and when he gets the chance, which he will, he makes it count.

They even put Napia as 18 man on a few occasions.

Yeah I was going to say that, but I think I read Evans has been 18th man at least once this season?

Yep that rumor is definitely legit. Just like the Cordner to Newcastle, Pearce to Merge, JWH to union, Tasi to Bulldogs, and soon to be Moga to Broncos rumors.
                      Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

i dont think he would make there top side, we are short of props atm and robbo hasn't picked him so maybe
he has some flaws in his game at present...

                          Two thoughts for me.
                          1. Someone said about Klemmer (Bulldogs prop that killed it in 20's) - he played minimal minutes and contributed very little for a few of bulldogs games which highlights the difference between 20's and NRL from where I sit.
                          2. What's the possibility of Evans not getting a run to protect our salary cap position?

                            Mad,
                            1. Klemmer has been out injured. This is one of the downsides of introducing young men too soon to the rigours of NRL.
                            2. Spot on unfortunately.

Don't know about that. Spud was always wearing a Souths' jumper as a kid. A big tall kid at that. Grew up in the same area.

Same goes for Beau Henr & Jack De Belin.

Konrad Hurrell should have got NYC player of the year in 2011. Evander Cummins in 2012
