Hard to say but Rose (one of my favourite players) is really fat so doesn't really have a neck. JWH went in and hit him hard but is a lot taller and was maybe a bit high?

The ref had been smashing us with high tackles all night (e.g. Friend on report for nothing)... I think he was making a point that he didn't want lots of shonky tackles in the last 10.

Funnily enough Manly toned down a notch after the send-off and the game opened up (before then it was just Manly hitting us over and over with a big sledge hammer.)

When Manly tried to open up we won the contest because we have a lighter, more creative squad.

Two things in watching the replay of that incident is that Rose drops down like trips and JWH first makes contact with Rose's shoulder if ever so slightly. That might be enough to get him off.
