Aubbo is fantastic in defense but i wish he could contribute more in attack and take a few more runs. I guess being a specialist hole runner he is relying on Mitchell Pearce and Jimmy to give him the right ball.
I find sometimes he goes missing but that could be contributed to the fact we now have plenty of stand-out players that need the ball on both sides of the field.
- Made more than 100 tackles in 2013
- Played at least 4 games in the second row in 2013
I would take more out of this stat if at the same time you showed where he rates on tackles made (workload) and minutes played on our right side where we have obviously been targeted by other teams the majority of time. My assumption would be he rates lowly on both.
I am satisfied with his contribution at this stage...

Where do you get these stats from ???
Anthony tupou, fulton and dave Taylor in the top 20.
Says it all doesn't it.
I'm actually for the aubo signing, but I wouldn't make it a long term signing, especially with the talent we have coming through which may overshadow aubo in the future and come at a cheaper price.
Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,
"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

There was a thread in here a wk ago about stats and how they're used. This is a prime example of that whole conversation.
A couple of years ago there were suggestions that Maubs could make Origin, but unfortunately it seems like he hasn't been able to progress to the level some of us thought he could be. Wish he would show a higher work rate in attack, and has been said, is seen to go missing at times.
Nevertheless, a decent player and a good club-man.
No. 19 (Frizzel) on that list impresses me immensely. He was relly good in limited opportunities at the sharks and is killing it at dragons on right edge. Sharks let him go for Heighington which I def ont see value in that at all.

You don't think defensive efficiency is a good way to measure ones performances in defence?

Why not?
I do. But I wouldn't be making a judgement and support it with that stat. Especially I would be interested to compare with other stats that I mentioned, because the stat you gave is misleading when all is considered. Especially as a backrower. It's all relative.
Are you happy with the other 1000 stats that have been taken of Aubs? Hit ups, offloads, metres per run, tackle busts etc etc that you want your backrower to be excelling in?
Without trolling stats pages, which I am not into and in a good percentage of instances I believe they mean next to little any way, I think his performance is lacking for a backrower that I would want to offer 3 years to. I admire Maubs as a player and would like to see him remain at the club, but at this stage I don't know based on his 'stats' or his purpose in the squad that I would be throwing 3 years at him. I think Guerra is better fit for our left edge and our team on a whole.
End of the day Robbo nd Politis etc have a million times better understanding of direction of roster for 2/3/4 years time then I do. They know what SBW is doing I assume which is big question mark to all of us.
Does anybody know the figure they are talking bout? Joel thompson got 1.2mil from dragons for 3yrs, wouldnt think maubs would be more than 300k per yr.
