Aubusson inks new deal with Chooks
Roosters utility Mitchell Aubusson is set to be rewarded for his strong start to the season with a new three-year deal. Aubusson, off contract at the end of the year, was chased by a number of rival clubs. It is understood he was packaged as part of a four-man deal to join St George Illawarra along with Todd Carney, Joel Thompson and Feleti Mateo. The quartet all share the same management company. However, the Roosters have all but finalised negotiations with the 25-year-old and an announcement is expected shortly

Good news, he's been exceptional in defence this year. Think he'll grow into his role in attack out on the left with Jimmy.

"He was packaged to the Dragons as he shares management with those other players" - what an absolute joke. Managers will literally try anything these days. Packaging their clients? what a joke. Good result for us nevertheless. While his workrate is sometimes questionable, he definitely has excellent ability and is becoming an indispensable cog. If he can recapture his 2010 form and start getting more involved, he will become a real force. Its scary to think that our 2 best attacking weapons bar carney havent gotten going yet this year in aubusson and SKD. They were both the premier attacking backrower and centre in the game. With SBW, Jennings and now RTS, Tupou and Moga to come back from injury and even guerra who is an absolute weapon on his day, we are going to be electric at full tilt

Isn't it a managers job to get the best deal possible for his client???

If its the best way to keep his clients happy, a package deal, I'd have thought the manager is doing his job???

Anyway I will be glad if this happens, re-signing with us, I have man-love for Maubs.

        The FlogPen .

        You know it makes sense.

This surprises me...I feel we have already seen Maubs best.

          Hope I'm wrong.

He's been overshadowed by the SBW, Maloney and Jennings show but he will fire up.
            SUPER DRAGON!

Our back row post SBW will be:

              11. Guerra
              12. Aubusson
              13. Cordner

              Very strong.

Glad he's re-signed ! I was really hoping we wont lose him. On his day he runs some of the best lines. Smithy played around with him last year and was not good for his confidence. He seems a player that will thrive once his role is clearly defined... So I expect him to really flourish once he has signed and can concentrate on his footy

I wouldn't have him back at any price. He's been crap since he went to the Sharks.

He couldn't make their starting 13 a couple of years ago, when they were struggling for players....it's hard to belive he played for Australia.

He's one that you look at and think 'where did it all go wrong?'

3 years might be a bit generous in terms of contract length, but the club made him a priority signing when they shipped off Taka/Cherro/Symonds and knowing that LOD/SBW won't be around too long.
