The difference between 0.2 and 0.6 is 0.4.

Its stating the obvious yeah...It doesnt mean sheck will get them stats at full back with all the pressure that comes with it
thats like saying coz we beat parra by 50 points and bulldogs only beat parra by 4 , we are gunna beat bulldogs by 46 points !
if we beat them by 46 points then im wrong
i think sheck should be fullback, dont get me wrong, but theres no guarentee he's gunna out perform mini just by looking at stats, he might shit bricks and drop every manu vatuvai bomb that comes at him

Except under the high ball he's been very safe and wingers deal with far more contested kicks to defuse than fullbacks. A lot of the fullbacks work is picking up clearing kicks, the odd mid-field bomb and occasionally grubbers in and around the posts and a lot of it is uncontested.

This theory that you're under more pressure as a fullback in defence is a myth. Wingers these days cop just as much if not more.

im talking mental pressure also...it may effect every part of his game..but only one way to find out..im just saying dont be disheartend if he plays like shit at fullback for quite some time before he explodes

The real test for a fullback is the running they have to do, aerobically it's a much tougher position. You can bludge on the wing at times you can't at fullback you have to be on the ball every play. Fullbacks run more than 10 km's every game, much more than any other position.

I do agree physically wing is the harder position, there is much less room to move. Just looking at RTS I would say most of his runs are from dummy half, taps and scrums. It really is very hard to make an impact from those positions. At fullback there is no doubt you get better ball and space to play in.

                      Anyway good article Jake.

in fairness he passed it back - only issue was he was facing opposition try line.

People talk about moving Mini to the wing. Can you imagine how many times he'd be rag-dolled into touch? The sad fact with Mini is that there is no place for him anywhere in first grade

Now now don't be so harsh. I'm sure he could carry at least 2 water bottles!!
In all seriousness there is some merit in interchanging them throughout the match. Dummy halves change throughout matches and that is an important position aswell.
I think mini will be there for the rest of the season when fit. That's just a reality we have to deal with whether some agree or not. He has the support of the players and the coaching staff by the looks of it
