The best thing about his offloads are that they're not simply offloads, they hit players directly. He fires the ball at them. It's insane.

2000 Semi against Newcastle from memory.

You will mess your pants at 1min 48 secs. Once you get over that, the pass being referred to is at 6min 52 sec.
Fittler's is better due to the proximity of the defensive line.

Where are all the people that were stating that SBW could not possibly adapt in time . Would not have the fitness levels .

Or had been playing rugby too long. A much weaker type of footy.

The answer to all these problems was easy to see. SBW is not a normal athlete. He is a freak and none of the above were ever going to be an issue. The guy is nearly playing a full game every week. Incredible.

When not scoring tries, he was setting up his teammates. The cut-out pass he threw to gift Roger Tuivasa-Sheck his third try was saccharine sweet.''The best pass I have seen this season was by Jarrod Mullen last week, but that is a photo finish second and that is a from a bloke who hasn't been in our game for five years and is a back-rower,'' Andrew Johns said during commentary duty for Triple M. ''That made me stand and applaud. That pass is an act of genius.''

He threw a better one down the short side against Melbourne (I think)

Switched to the blind and cut out about 3 blokes with an absolute bullet that landed on the wingers chest for an easy stroll over the chalk.

It still makes me wee a little bit thinking about it...

I thinkl the one you are referring to was in the semi final at olympic par in 1998 from memory we won 26-16 and that was the clincher I think Richie Barnett scored from it

Remember that one well, didn't quite hit him on the chest but was a terrific pass. That was the year we beat Melbourne in Melbourne in the first semi and got rewarded by then having to play Newcastle at Newcastle. We beat them and then had the easy task of having to play Brisbane in Brisbane despite them having lost their first semi final. Biggest rort in history, the comp was put on for the News Ltd teams that year.

they were the rules that were in place at the team, and if it had been another team who finished where we did and then had the same results as we did, they'd have copped the same treatment. So your News Ltd comment makes zero sense

They weren't actually. The way the draw was structured, our match was scheduled for the SFS on Saturday however the NRL changed the schedule to avoid having one semi in Brisbane not featuring Brisbane whilst another semi scheduled in Sydney with Brisbane playing.

fair enough cocka, I stand corrected

would it be fair to say then that if it was another Sydney team instead of us, the same thing would have happened?

Ultimately it wouldn't have made a difference as Freddie did a rib cartilage against the Knights and was a virtual passenger in the final against Brisbane, but I remember being totally pissed off about it at the time. That year seemed like our best chance to win a premiership forever, particularly if we had fluked a win against Brisbane. That was never going to happen up there though.
