Man these Pearce threads are getting boring. Jake Friend is a much bigger issue than Pearce. Pearce has played two matches with Maloney. You have to at least give them half a season together before making any final judgements.

I think he likes the attention to be honest. He can't really talk footy seriously. All he has is this guy is crap, that guy is crap. Is Cogburn even a real guy. If someone created an angry old man kind of troll, you could do no better than model it on Cogburn. Lets not forget, we did win last week in new Zealand which is something we have not done for some time.

Yeh not the bloke who dived on the ball to seal the game, not the bloke who pushed Johnson out wide for his conversion and not the bloke who made a try saving tackle on Mateo.

But because he only had a hand in one try we almost lost because of him?

We almost lost because of our willingness to give away penalties and thus field position, we almost lost because Mini had some absolute blunders, for the large majority of the game we were in control of that game. None of the momentum shifts were on the back of Pearce.

Sorry if facts ruin your agenda but this is the reality of it.

My thoughts on Pearce are similar to many on here. He will never be a great player, but he can be a very good one. If I was Robbo I would be saying to him that I don't care if he doesn't have another try assist this season as long as he gets us safely down field and in an attacking position and then provides good, clean early ball to the likes of SBW, Maloney and Jennings. He looks to me like he thinks he has to come up with the big play every time he gets in a decent attacking position. If he would take a deep breath and play with more composure I think he would be far better served.

Pearce stops chasing Johnson than he goes in under the post and levels the game which we prob would've lost from there.
