This won us the game but got me thinking...

We had 2 tries disallowed (at least 1 of which I think could have been a try) and I felt ripped when one of their big coconuts kicked on... we then tried to gather it (and fumbled) then they got the ball. This led to their 2nd try with me thinking "we were robbed and this could cost us the game!!!"

I'm not complaining too much because we got the 2 points but... we still have a significantly negative PD, and I feel we were robbed a little. The refs tried their best to give the Warriors the game and it was only their own stupidity (from Reynolds' personal kiwi double) that gave us the 2 points.

Sure... it was also our fault for letting our guard down but am I tripping? I think I'd be quite angry at the refs if we had lost...
    Right in front??

I agree Pearce needs work still, particularly his dreadful short kicking game, but we need to give him a chance in this new system with better players.

At the end of the day tho, he showed great pace on that chase. Without it, then yes the kick woulda been from right in front.

When he grubbers for a repeat set, he needs to grubber for the tryline, not 5 yards into it. Then he will find the ball pulls up short of the deadball line most of the time.
That was a bloody good chase!!!!!!

He came from waaaaaay behind and almost caught the guy. I get the idea that Pearce is one of the faster guys in league? This is the second time I've seen him blitz it...

First time was when RTS stepped Morris; he passed it to Pearce, who used his speed to score.

Anybody know how his leg speed rates compared to other halves?

The score was 16-14... he missed 2!!!!!

I just re-watched the game. One was from right in front and he pretty well toe bashed the ball. It failed to make the height, angle and distance (re-watch the game if you don't believe me, friends who watched with me mentioned how stoopid the kick was.)

The one everybody else is mentioning was from a tight angle and he simply missed.

i believe there was no conclusive evidence to award the jennings try, if the ref had gone upstais thinking it was a try, the try would have been awarded.

I was surprised at his pace during a game last year, against Manly, when he scored a try after he received the ball on about their 40 metre line down the right wing and then proceeded to out-sprint Brett Stewart and a couple of others that I thought would easily outpace him.

Never mind the refs. we always were get the dud calls, we should put that lot away, we are not travelling too great at all, I know its only early, but if we had of played another top team on sattee night, we would of got smacked again, Robbo's coaching is looking so much like Smiths at the moment, Iám abit worried, we are still too soft in defence, and getting man handled, the team is not selected right, at the moment, a couple of bad positional choices have been made, and like Smiths time, doesn't look like being corrected.
