The game I watched we were absolutely dominated up the middle of the field (Souffs made 400 more metres)
We struggled to gain field position through poor discipline; errors & penalties (5 more penalties than Souffs & a 61% completion rate)
Pearce was very good when playing direct and his combination with Maubs is back in full swing (Pearce - 3 Linebreak Assits, Souffs whole team - 3 linebreaks assists).
The game really isn't that hard to understand, we need field position. That is gained by controlling the ball and making the hard yards up the middle, everything else comes on the back off that.

The bloke has been a Rooster for ages and I'm struggling to recall a game where he's grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and taken control. It's the same old same old from him him every season. We need a decent half.
Fu** the refs we got hammered
How many times did a try get scored after a penalty??

Because imo ur the cluless onw
U might want to watch the game again
And tell me how many times did we get the ball inside the souths 30m???
Once kennedy drops it
The other skd drops it
The other forward pass
I honestly thought the refs were a disgrace!!
How many times did the souths get a penalty in there end of the field
Dead set form where i was sitting there were forward passes from dummy half atleast once every 2 sets

oops clicked wrong thread.
definitely agree. while pearce didnt take control of the game he didnt play badly. our forwards were dominated. What bothers me though is he allowed for our team to group behind the play the ball instead of organising the offensive line making it easy for the vermin to pick us off as we ran one out over and over again. when we these morons learn.... even when we are taking hitups you stand across the field not in a ****en group behind the ball runner.
as for all those writing off maubs, friend and mini they were some of the better players on park along with JWH and Moa.Last edited by redwhiteandbluetill_i_die; 03-07-2013, 11:36 PM.

I think it's hard to write off Pearce so early. The main issue tonight was our backrowers... They did nothing and there we no offloads or sideways movement. This meant no opportunities to put our backs in space and limited time with the ball for our halves. Our fitness also seems an issue, the team was bunched a lot of the night and couldn't keep up with Souths in defence!!

Mate you are the clueless one, fancy blaming the refs, that's a huge copout. One of the main reasons we were continually under pressure was because Friend kept giving away stupid penalties. Pearce and Friend are liabilities to this team and until they are replaced with better players we'll continue to be a middle of the road team.
