  • 7 and 9 are our weak spots

We won't be winning any comps with Pearce and Friend. Pearce was given a halfback lesson tonight and Friend well he's just not up to it. With a different half tonight we may have been a chance. At least we know who the NSW half should be. We should make the 8 but at this stage we're a long way off the pace.

Are you saying this based on the way Reynolds and Luke played or how Pearce and Friend played, because they seemed to have the ball for only 5 minutes all night. Im sure most halfbacks would look as good if they were given a free pass down the other end of the field every time they got the ball.

Pearce couldn't get a repeat set if his life depended on it. The bloke has been a Rooster for ages and I'm struggling to recall a game where he's grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and taken control. It's the same old same old from him him every season. We need a decent half.

It did to seem that way. JWH makes a fair difference when on the field.
He was carting the ball up sometimes twice a set in the first half.

Kennedy does not seem to have that punch through the line impact, will need to
push a little harder next game.

In fairness to Pearce he was trying to get repeat sets from 40+ metres out not 10-15 metres out like Reynolds.

I thought Aubs was OK tonight but Friend, how many penalties did he give away tonight?

Lets give the big softy MK a couple of weeks and if he doesn't harden up, bring on Kane Evans I say
As for Ray and his hatred for Pearce, not one halfback in the comp bar Thurston could have dragged us back into that match mate. Too many dumb penalties and we never got a good platform from the forwards. We were DOMINATED up front.

Pearce's whole kicking game seems to be getting worse..
