I would have thought it was pretty obvious. It was an opinion on others opinions

No But I and many others tend to take those who have at least played the games opinions more seriously Also in my experience the people I know who have played tend not to bag 1st garde Rugby League players for their playing ability

This year is shaping up to be anything. It could be massively good or a pile of . Trials mean nothing for form in the real world.
We have a new coach, basically untried at NRL top level. He seems to be getting it all headed in the right direction & the harmony seems to be there...unlike the last 2 season starts.
I'd also prefer to ignore the form of our players for the previous 2 years because of the previous mentioned harmony......or lack thereof.

Before we start putting our players on pedestals, or to the sword, how about we give them 4-6 weeks of the proper season & then see how it is all looking, eh?

What's the issue?

Sutton did play well last year.

He's got a real good halfback to play off.

The scary thing about Sutton is, he is in top four in Line breaks, Try assists and offloads. He can't be that bad lol, I bet Trent has a different view of Sutton and has him down as a danger man.

When he's on his game he's exceptionally good. Unfortunately for him that usually only a handful a season.

Meanwhile, this year is a whole new territory for their opposition.

The Rabbitohs head into the season as serious premiership contenders, not just living the fairytale they have engaged in for too many Februarys over the past 20 years.

In the Charity Shield they toyed with the Dragons.

They dominated through their big pack, while John Sutton showed great decisiveness and skill in everything he did.

He looks to be headed for another great year.
And what can I say about Greg Inglis - have we seen a better athlete play the game? Probably not.

I can't wait for he and Sonny to get reacquainted on Thursday night.
