I saw a bloke use one of those big old fashioned street sweeper brooms as a bat. We were in the Dally Messenger stand, and so everyone on the concourse was hurling everything they had at him, and everyone in the stand was chucking it back down so that it could continue (didn't see a chicken carcass). Took a while for the gorillas to come and remove him. Those were the days.

The esky is dangerous, but it's what I'd expect at the cricket on the hill especially.

I believe I'm slightly mentally scarred by the farking chicken carcass though, I tells ya. And it's why I will NEVER vote for the 7s ever ever again.

Mate i have seen some shit on the hill that will forever stay in my mind!

The first time I sat on the hill i was only about 11 years old. My brother took me with his mates. Everyone was sitting down and for some reason my brothers mate stood up and started searching for something in his bag. It only took about two 'sit downs' before almost EVERYOnE on the hill started launching food at him!

Ill also never forget hippy who was a legend on the hill leading aussie aussie aussie.

                So many great moments..

Same can be said in trials... Look at cherro... And that's why u would split ur team with firsts, reserve and under 20's

I know it's probably been covered on here before but if the commission is looking at making more money they should look at getting this back on the table.. I know many will say its not worth it due to injuries and such, but if done correctly with a mix of first graders, Toyota cup players and reserve graders I think it will still pull crowds, and injuries are going to happen in trials aswell... I'd love to see rts and oldfield and Other youngsters with room to move and getting a chance to show what they can do in open space.... What's everybody's thoughts on this?????
Mate I agree. I used to love going out for that. Don't remember what year but I was there when we won it. I think Gary freeman was in the team.

My memories of the 7's are Awesome. We went when it was at parra stadium, my uncle, brother, cousin and myself.
They had the aboriginal side,we sat on the hill as did every aboriginal supporter. I think I was around 11 and I had a bucket of chips and this pissed idiot abbo( sorry no disrespect intended) asked for a chip. I said no and he grabbed the bucket off me. Being the fiery little red head I was I stood up and pushed the pissed carnt down the hill. After rolling over a few people he stood up and went berserk charging up the hill. Said he was going to stab me or some shite. When he finally got near us my uncle stood up and put one on this blokes chin, down he went. Then the fun started, every abbo one the hill had seen or found out and they were yelling and carrying on telling us 'you white carnts better watch your back' needless to say we had to leave under the protection of the security guards. They escorted us off the hill and up into a vacant corporate box. A staff member came in and apologised to my uncle offered to refund the tickets and provide us with food and drinks for free for the rest of the day. Happy days, bring back the 7's, and the Abboriginal team too!!!

                            Great memories.

Mun the classic from Lang Park when NSW scored a try and the lone Blues fan on the hill cheers and he gets pelted by 1000 1/2 full cans of catsXXXXpiss.

I've always wanted to be that bloke.

Sadly our kids miss out on another experience growing up, The Hill.

Loved the Sevens at SFS and Parra. Used to be a three day event.
Loved watching teams like Russia bravely handling the heat. Still have a Russian RL cap
and a signed football. The Fijians were awesome too.
Best part was seeing the USA discovering they are not the best in the world at everything!
