I'm pretty sure I still hold the record for most sin bins for 16 year old and under at the Woy Woy Roosters....

    I just couldn't help myself.

99% of the time it was back chat.

The 1% was because I grabbed my junk and told the opposition supporters to smoke it when I scored the winner after the bell.

    I got 6 weeks for that.....unbelievable.

Looks like we have more supporters in SE QLD than we do in the Eastern Suburbs

Someone once said 1/3 or close to it of our member base is from the SE QLD area mate.

Crazy we can't get a game in the area for 2013.

Every game I've attended up here the crowd is stacked with RWB jumpers. I shit you not that GF qualifier in 2010 against the Titts in Brissy was packed and as close to a 50/50 split as I've ever seen, even at the SFS.

            The FlogPen .

            You know it makes sense.

I travelled to that game. You're right. It was chock-a-block full of RWB.
It's good having supporters far and wide.

Last season it was the only chooks game in qld. In general the mighty roosters don't get to qld to often, so when they do the fans travel from far and wide. The chooks have a strong following in various parts of regional qld. The rapist and souffs are the only two non qld clubs that are more heavily supported. The latter I suspect is due to the current unemployment rate combined with their popularity amongst "first Australians"

IMO the reasons for our wide reaching fan base are twofold mate.

With the massive increases in rents and property prices alot of our supporters have been forced to relocate from the Eastern Suburbs, especially families, myself included.

And with Freddy and Gus and what they did for the club from the mid 90s I would guess a lot of impressionable kids grew up wanting to be Coqqs. Happens with every big era. Look at how many Stains fans came out of the 50s-60s. Even the Watsamatta and Boggs fans who came out of the 80s.

I even see kids wearing Melba jumpers cos of Slater and Smiff, especially in QLD. And don't get me started about the NSW kids who go for QLD.

i have never missed a Roosters game in Brisbane or Gold Coast. The Broncos supporters (my Family) are always surprised by the number of Roosters supporters there when they always here how Roosters don;t have any supporter base.
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
                      It's called experience.

and i agree, i think its astonishing the number of roosters supporters based in SE queensland. makes it even more questionable that they didnt get a game at un-skilled or sandcorp

I remember you well at last years game proud. I moved to Brisbane 10 years ago. Housing is cheaper, better wage up here in the mining, and not so many tryhards.

In saying that I can still get my wanker fix by visiting the Goldy.
