Top 4; In no particular order
Melbourne - No doubt will be there again
Souths - When you cheat the salary cap you are almost assured a spot in the top 8
Bulldogs - Hasler is a genius & they have recruited well
Manly - Always competitive and still have a strong lineup

    5-8 In no particular order
Roosters - Best recuits, should be top 8, could challenge for top 4 if we click early
Sharks - Recruited well but most recruits are pensioners
Cowboys - Thurston, Bowen, Tamou, Scott... enough said.
Canberra - Awesome youngsters & scary fowards

    9-12 In no particular order
Broncos - Dont rate them highly, some good youngsters tho
Warriors - Good on their day, but dont play consistent footy
Newcastle - Avg age of their team is 56...maybe they could win an over 40's comp?
Tigers - Braith Anasta, do I need to say any more?

No Chance; In no particular order
Titans - Most likely go broke half way through season, their recruitement has no science behind it
Penrith - Recruited well, but lost too many big names, may be compeditive in a few years
Parramatta - Only hope is Hayne having another 2009, apart from that their forwards are soft
St George - Have lost quality players over the past few years and havent replaced them
The difference between optimistimisum and reality - Thank you I think you're right on the mark

I agree with most of your points expect I think Tigers are for the spoon this year.

Surely you mean the dogs and storm cheating the cap, Souths a big maybe but certainly the Dogs are leading the pack. Just their four forwards of Pritchard, Graham, T Rex and Kassiano are on 500k each, than let's not forget Toleman who they signed for 300k and Eastwood has to be on 300k plus, oh I forgot captain Ennis lol. They are Oasis premium.

Haha, I saw Braith and Robbie at concord oval the other day, they were in deep conversation walking around the oval, Braith had his usually julio Iglesias tan looking too sexy for his shorts.

I think of you more as an oldskool Tape mate.

First things first, I hate the dogs and always will. Dogs by name, dogs by nature.

                      But I must disagree with you. On the contrary I think Bulldogs are the best at recruiting in the competition. You look at their squad and many of their players were purchased below market price;

                      - Sam Perret - unwanted by Roosters, isnt on too much
                      - Krisnan Inu - unwanted by Warriors, came from reserve grade
                      - Steve Turner - Melbourne
                      - Aiden Tolman - Melbourne - came cheaper than he should have due to salary cap issue
                      - Kris Keating - relatively a nobody till he came to the club
                      - Dene Halatau - came from the tigers after doing nothing for years

The Bulldogs have brought the players and some how got the best our of them and made them once more play good footy.

Apart from this you have to take into considerations that Kasiano, Josh Reynolds and Barba are all youngsters and wouldnt quiet be on the big money yet (apart from Barba).

This only leave Michael Ennis, Frank Pritchard, Tony Williams and the biting Pommy as players on big money.

I can easily see Bulldogs being under the cap.

T Rex would be on 500k or close to it. I remember reading Pritchard is getting 400k per season, I dont believe Graham is on 500k I think it be closer to 300k per season. Kassiano would be lucky to be on 150k per season it was his 1st year in FG, he is still yet to prove himself.

Ennis Eastwood & Toleman are probably on 300k per season. Morris, Hodkinson & Keating are probably on the next teir probably all getting between 250 to 280k per season & the rest would all be on less than that.

Imadog knows the in's & out's of the Doggies finances & it is alot more complex than yours & my understanding. They could afford Thurston on top of all they have & they would then be on there salary cap limit.
