Here are my top 8 predictions;
Top 4; In no particular order
Melbourne - No doubt will be there again
Souths - When you cheat the salary cap you are almost assured a spot in the top 8
Bulldogs - Hasler is a genius & they have recruited well
Manly - Always competitive and still have a strong lineup
5-8 In no particular order
Roosters - Best recuits, should be top 8, could challenge for top 4 if we click early
Sharks - Recruited well but most recruits are pensioners
Cowboys - Thurston, Bowen, Tamou, Scott... enough said.
Canberra - Awesome youngsters & scary fowards
9-12 In no particular order
Broncos - Dont rate them highly, some good youngsters tho
Warriors - Good on their day, but dont play consistent footy
Newcastle - Avg age of their team is 56...maybe they could win an over 40's comp?
Tigers - Braith Anasta, do I need to say any more?
No Chance; In no particular order
Titans - Most likely go broke half way through season, their recruitement has no science behind it
Penrith - Recruited well, but lost too many big names, may be compeditive in a few years
Parramatta - Only hope is Hayne having another 2009, apart from that their forwards are soft
St George - Have lost quality players over the past few years and havent replaced them

Can't disagree with majority of posters except, Manly and Souths may struggle top four, Roosters certainties for 8 and as high as 5, Dark horse is Newcastle and, St George won't be as bad as most would believe, their starting 17 is as good as 60% of teams, if injury kind to them they will finish middle of road. The spoon will go to either Parra or Penrith.

I'm tipping the Roosters for a top 4 finish. I'm just hoping we hit the finals with momentum. If so there is no reason we can not go deep into the competion. The rest can get farked but Penrith, Parramatta and Tigers will obviously struggle. I hate to admit it but I think Souffs will be stronger than last year.

Bold prediction is panthers to make the eight..
Looking at there roster i do believe that they can make it good balance in forwards and backs.. just it all depends on their halfback..
Gould will make a difference i think!!!!
We will def make d 8 no doubt
And dogs wont either lol.. maybe more of a hope ..
Barber is d key and i think he quite possibly wont be a distructive as he was last year
Souths wont make it either.!! Not while sutton is their
2011 – 24 matches > 23 tries (equal first top try scorer with N.Merrit)– (bad defence hight ball)
2012 – 21 matches > 21 tries – 2012 Dally M Meal, In addition he won the 'Peter Frilingos Headline Moment of the Year', the Provan-Summons Medal as 'People's Choice' player of the year as well as being named fullback of the year
Those stats above also exclude line breaks, try assist and meters ran.
Every year he is improving and a better player he is a very destructive player that makes something out of nothing which we have all seen him do.
Just saying.
I agree with you imo Tigers to get the spoon,
