Top post JC, exactly the thing I was feeling when watching the Doco, this is just the start of the star-athlete in this country. People are always initially resistant to change but it won't take the players and their managers and sponsors and the codes long to realize the potential here.

Just from my observations in modern times & I have NO problem with it but I wonder why coloured players want to play or try to play 2 different sports comparred to white guys.

I dont know all the sports in the world so I have no stats but from my media observations all these sports people like Michael Jordan & this guy Bo, Loti, Wendell, Will Chambers, KMH, Issy, SBW even Usain bolt is talking about having a crack at first class cricket are coloured comparred to white guys who try 2 different sports.

Mickey, African Americans and the like are far superior athletes than caucasions. I'm talking sports like NFL, basketball, etc. I played in the NBL in 89 and 90. Early days but playing against people like Leroy loggins and al green. Their athletic ability is amazing. So much quicker . Wide receivers in the nfl are 99% African American. Some NBA teams are 100% African American. When it comes to athleticism they dominate us , so much so that they are now starting to dominate the English premier league. I remember when all quarterbacks were caucasion. Even that is changing now.
To answer your question, IMO, they are simply far better athletes and therefore are more likely to have the skills to crossover. I also believe in the states its a more accepted practice. In Oz, we are more likely to call Benji and the rest traitors for even contemplating it. Christ, if I had of had the ability to do it I would not have hesitated.

Spain have FEW black players for 1 reason. Racial abuse. Spain are far behind the rest of Europe in regards to acceptance and are basically morons. Samuel Et'o, Barcelona is constantly abused racially at away games and even threatened to walk off recently.
That is why blacks are hesitant to sign with Spanish clubs and its bloody disgraceful. You only need to look up Spanish football history to know this is true.

Highly debatable. Brazil could claim that for some of their teams from 1958-1970 winning 3 of 4 World Cups.

Spot on filthy. But there are several reasons for this I believe. Firstly, besides Canada, ice hockey is by Far the least popular of the big 4 sports in the u.s. in fact, word is that soccer is over taking it. A lot of the players in the NHL are European players. Most African Americans grow up on basketball. Nfl and baseball. Ice is frozen water... We know how much african americans love swimming

Mate just do yourself a favour and take the time to educate yourself as to why this is the case. Google it. The answer is in black and white. Spanish clubs do not want to sign black players as their fans have no tolerance to blacks and are racist to a ridiculous degree. That's a bad way to put it coz racism in any form is disgraceful. That is the simple answer mate. If I was not on my phone I would cut and paste many articles relating to this very subject for u to look at.

Ever had a dose of reality? Well here it comes. Listen up! You need to learn about the game of hockey. IMO there hasnt been a single afro American that could mix it with the likes of Tie Domi, Brian McGrattan, hell, even Chris Neal or Zdano Chara could hold their own against the likes of a Donald Brashear or P.K. Subban.

Do some research before you try to educate someone who has lived in Nth America and sat in the front row at many NHL games. There are currently 28 black players in the NHL, 14 of which are bi-racial so lets make it 14 if you want to talk true bloods. There are a total of 600 front line NHL players over the 30 franchised clubs. That means 2.3% of the entire NHL playing roster from last season is black so your 'currently plenty of black guys' statement is basically dribble.

I would like to thank you however for reminding about that site. Ive been starved of of a good NHL fix over the past few months thanks to the bloody lockout. I was there during the 04-05 season lockout and saw what it did to the fans so I hope they get this sorted soon.
