In some ragards yes but they are smart enough to make some pretty good coin doing what they love while putting on show for the fans so they have my respect!

With the sort of money these guys are on, it doesnt matter. Unlike the NRL, these guys are on HUGE money and if managed correctly, will last them and their families well past retirement and then some!

yeah but the money these blokes play on probably make up 10 times what an nrl player is on. cant see to many sportsmen going on to further education past yr 12 these days in any sport to be honest.

Think you'd be suprised, minimum wage wld be something of the vicinity of what our top playrrs get. america is over the top in everything, there are always pay disputes in the big 4 sports and thats why every couple of yrs there are some seasons that almost dont even kick off. imagine having to go through a year with no NRL! Id go nuts.

yeah there was a basketball lockout last year and an ice hockey lock out this year.
greed i reckon. send a few of em over here to play in our second rate basketball and ice hockey leagues for a year or two then see if they complain
