The Draw?????????????????????

Seems not too bad as we only get two short 5 day turn-around in rounds 9 to 10 and 16 to 17 which gives our guys a fair shot at the 8 if not the 4 if we are up to it. Someone somewhere did an analysis on the days we play for the first 20 rounds and it looks like we have a pretty even spread over the weekends and gives us two Thursday games one to open the season and the ANZAC Day game.

We play Parra twice, this time at home on Easter Monday at 7pm. No trip to the Gold Coast for me this time like last year
My boss is a Canterbury fan and he has just granted me special annual leave for Friday 8th March after our first game against Souths. He agrees I need the next day to delouse, disinfect etc....

Manly round 9 - Brookvale Oval
Manly round 16 - Allianz Stadium
Tigers round 23 - Leichardt Oval
Sharks round 24 - Toyota Stadium

All the away games on Monday nights would have been real danger games for us last season, come to think of it the home games would have been danger games last season too, it will be interesting to see if Robbo & the new coaching staff can get the attitude right for all these potential danger games.

We always pull a good crowd at both venues, I'd say they are 50-50, or have been the last few seasons.

Very disappointing for many fans up this way.

Also no Melba in Melba, just had friends move there, was planning a trip down to co-incide with watching us play down there.

I have travelled down the freeway from Brissy for years because we have only played at Suncorp maybe 3 out of the last 10 years. I try to avoid the Goldy at all costs. The least they could have done is put a game at one of the venues.

Good in a way for Easts, don't need to travel to SE QLD or Melba, but for the many Easts fans in the SE QLD area it's becoming rather annoying, the lack of respect we have been treated with by the draw makers in the last 6-7 seasons.

I would genuinely have thought the Wankos and GC would appreciate the traditional clubs bringing their support to games here. I know The Stains and Souffs and Boggs usually draw numbers up here, like Easts.
