Quade wants to come, along with Mr. Williams then I welcome them.

I believe that Sonny Bill will make Quade focus. A focussed Quade would be a weapon.
      What position?

I think his defence would improve dramatically under even an average defence coach. Defence in union is dominated by forwards, even out wide in many cases. Give him a couple of good defenders inside and outside him and he'll be just fine. His creativity and kicking game far outweighs his defence, and we've been lacking these since Carney left.

He had one good season with the reds where he proved that he's got the goods to with a S15 final (which IMO is actually harder than an NRL final because you have 3 countries involved which are all very serious about their rugby.)

After that he had a rubbish world cup and has been plagued by injuries/a lack of any real form.

            My questions would be:
            - Is Sonny Bill as good or even better than an awesome coach? He can provide friendship (so that Quade gets cocky/confident again), mentorship and a matching level of talent (allowing Quade more creative freedom.)
            - Is Quade that good, or did he just get lucky for a season? For example Hayne (who don't get me wrong, is good) nearly won the Eels a GF. Since then he's had a few injuries and hasn't been THAT good.
            - How much, and how much do we have left under the cap?
It's amazing how underrated Hayne still is, I guess he just doesn't play for the right club.
Hayne is hardly underrated... commentators laud him lots and often. Sometimes doesn't give it a shove...

We dont have room for QC in the halves with Jnr & Maloney and if we use QC in the centres than defensively he becomes to much of a liability .... IMO

Any player that comes across from the ARU or NZRU to the NRL should be exept from the salary cap IMO.

In saying that there would be lucky to be 3 players in either of those Unions that would make it in League IMO, if it was up to me I wouldnt go after any of them.

Pearce to Hooker or to the Tigers, problem solved.

I really don't care where he goes. To hell would be okay.

As in "go to hell" not I wish him damnation. I'm not a radical muslim.

                            This, eventually.

If we were to sign him it could pan out like 2010 with Carntey. Start him at fullback then when Roger is ready move QC into the halves and Pearce to 9.

Commentators are hardly a great representation of the larger Rugby League community and if anything their comments usually lead to discontent to whoever their latest fad is.

It's amazing how many people think Benji & Hayne are shit because the media love them so much when they're easily two of the best ball players in the game. Hayne is right up there with Inglis & Slater as far as best fullbacks go and Benji is second only to Thurston as a half imo.

Yeah move our best half for a player who will most probably be here for a few years maximum.

Long term thinking, gotta love it.
