Actually they signed Rory Kostjasyn from the Storm. Hes a utility but can play hooker

From the interviews I believe Robinson will help Pearce finally reach his instinctive potential.
Really? I thought the problem was quite the opposite. He was given no structure and told to play what he saw in front of him. Pearce is not the most intelligent player and Smith probably would have got more out of him if he did treat him like a robot - ie give him a strict game plan as he has trouble thinking for himself under pressure.

I don't know how good Scott Moore is but they are going to need all the help they can get if they think Rory Kostjasyn is the answer at dummy half.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

When I first saw Mitchell Pearce in his tigers days I really thought that a lot would become of him. When I found out that we had signed him I was ecstatic and hoping that he would end up making his debut sooner rather than later.

Upon his debut in 2007 he showed many promising signs, and yet many weaknesses. Over the first few years I had the thought of giving him time and letting him develop as all players take time to develop. But since then I have came to the realization that Pearce will become a good player but never a great player. He will be in the Wallace, or Kimmorley category of halfbacks where he has some good games, but he will never be a Thurston or Lockyer type of player where he can organize an entire team's attack, and in fact even guys who made their debuts after Pearce, like Foran and DCE are already way above him.

I don't know whether we can blame Anasta or the coaches he has been under, but there comes a time where you either decide to keep kidding yourself thinking a player will come good or you accept that a player will never reach a certain level. I am closer to the latter with regards to Pearce. I have seen many players come through our system over the last 30 years of supporting our club to know how good a player will get. I will eat spoonfuls of humble pie if I am proven wrong on Pearce.

This is why I think that his suggested asking price of $600,000 a season is ridiculous. He is no more than a $400,000 player at best.

Dont know how many times I've seen him play with his mind already made up & ignore what's in front of him...

As I said, he's not the most intelligent player. His mind isn't already made up. It's simply closed IMHO.

True, he seemed bit shut down, I will blame the coach so no excuses for next season

You are spot on in your assessment. But one thing you can be sure of is that the Roosters won't be paying overs to keep him. O'Sullivan and co would have put a price on him, lets say $450,000.00 and if that's not enough to keep him then so be it, they will let him go. That's how O'Sullivan operates. He doesn't get involved in bidding wars.

I just pray that POS sorts out his contract and Politis doesn't get involved in this one tbh.

With the coming cap increase for next year,650k will become the new price for a 400k player at all clubs.Jnr Jnr will be eligable for 200k veterans discount come 2015[provided Mini is gone],which gives us an advantage and a cap buffer at least

If he is still here in 2014 there will be a riot.

Depends on how well Mrs Minichiello's shoe making business is going

Maybe we could get John to support them financially by buying some shoes from her

Unfortunately, I could only see John throwing said shoes AT her.

If and when they go overseas Terry will design from there. She's a really lovely person with a great sense of humour and will talk to anyone who loves the Roosters. When we were all at the Chic function for the Manly game, she said to me how she couldn't believe I flew all the way home from Melbourne to ''watch this crap!" Oh dear...
