exactly right because he will be a breath of fresh air compared to smith and son.

Just like when the new coach was "a breath of fresh air" in 2007 and 2010.

yes and then its up to the coach to actually be a good coach.

you know, actually coach well. thats a little thing thats important to have as a coach - actually be a good coach. it would help things moving forward.

Fred, as I said. I am all for a better coach but there are only so many coaches that can be sacked before the players need to be looked at as well.

Any player who stops performing and holds the club to ransom should be shown the door. Thankfully, I believe this will now happen.

            Yes well said Roz.
I am grateful for 2010 and that glimmer of hope going into the GF. Smithy did his job and now that chapter is over.

According to the SMH today, Smith isnt in line for the Warriors gig but they could be thinking Mr Sheens.

If that happened, Smithy could go to Wests and reunite with Braith. Wont happen but just a thought.

He did an amazing job in 2010 to even get us into the finals let alone the gf. He has also build along with POS a really talented crop of young players and this year he managed to remove the final pieces of deadwood from our squad (anasta & perrett). The success of this playing group going forward will always tie back to Smith and the way he has brought so many of them on and been stubbornly committed to us building a team for the future. The easy option this year would have been to buy a couple of high profile players so we might have gotten a bit closer to the 8 but he has made the long-term call and commitment to building this club so he should be commended for that.

Imo Smithy has achieved precisely what he was brought here to do - clean out the playing roster, rebuild the club with a young and vibrant squad and get the players off the back pages and back focused on footy (which bar pearce and the medias obsession with his long list of girls for this year, he has achieved)
              Amen.
