I have just received info from a keen Dragons man bemoaning the fact that they are about to announce the signing of Mortimer.

I won't cry over it, and I can't believe that they would think he would be a long term replacemetn for Hornby.

Like when we lost mitchell, it will be disappointing because mitchell and mortimer gave us great depth and versatility but that said, he wont secure a permanent first grade spot and at best would become a bench utility so I dont blame him if he does decide to move on. he is a great bloke as well so good luck to him

wasn't there talk of us signing Joel Romelo from the bullscum a couple of weeks ago, would make sense if Mortimer is going otherwise we look even lighter on in depth in the halves.

Hes a quality kid but not too concerned if he goes it should put to bed Pearce rumours about leaving now,we do need to find another half/five eighth as back up thou.
