A decent pack made Soward and Hornby look good.

Add to that the sea eagles who are also supposedly playing under the cap, even though they recently resigned brett stewart to a 600k deal for 4 years.BTW didn't rothfield a few months ago write something about the stewart brothers being a sure thing to join our club.

      I guess he was wrong.....
The funny thing is he had the hide to say "as revealed by the telegraph 2 weeks ago".

What about a few months back when you said you'd put your house on him being a rooster, Phil?

Or before that when you said that Brett and Glenn were a done deal at the dragons , Phil?

What a fair dinkum oxygen thief.

He should have been a head job.

Or the wet patch on her side of the bed.

He'll be playing park football for the rest of his career.

And so he should, he's average.

Have you seen much of him, I must admit I've only seen him play at the Tiges trial match at Campbelltown this year, but I really liked the look of him that night, great kicking game & took the line on a couple of times, looking pretty dangerous, what have you formed your opinion on?

I've seen a bit of him over the last few years and I don't rate him much to be honest.

He's never been a standout to me in the reggies so I don't think he can make the step up imo.

Fair enough, I might have caught him on a good night.

Their team did no doubt. All Sowie and his mate did was kick and stand on the wings. It's funny how that doesn't work when you are conceding more than 20 points a game.

I suppose the point i am trying to make albeit unsuccessfully is that even Peter Sterling would struggle behind a poor pack of forwards and if given enough game time and a pack of forwards that constantly make the hard yards Mortimer may do well.

Nah it's a fair point Artie.

I like Mortimer I hope we keep him. If I was advising him though I would tell him to bulk up and look to play more time at hooker. I think he is a decent backup/utility type player. Just don't think he is a starting halve at NRL level.

                              Good luck, Morts.

I won't cry over it, and I can't believe that they would think he would be a long term replacemetn for Hornby.

                                Interesting.
He won't get a start with us...Pearce and Maloney the halves.
Why would he stick around here.
