At some stage the players themselves need to be blamed. I'm more embarrassed by the players than I am of the coach.

Smith needs to be held accountable but not nearly as much as the players !!

The way I look at it, he's had halves you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. The one time he'd had a half (as in 5/8th/half) that was any good, he came within a whore's son's father's hair of winning the Grand Final.

He will have James Maloney, who incidentally just set up a nice try, who will improve our lot.

We've won more penalty counts this season than we did in 2010......we were just as dumb back then backwards (remember the Dogs putting 60 on us?) but we got away with it because the club was angry and had plenty to prove after the spoon in 2009, Carney also had his own redemption storyline too.

We've been a dumb, lazy, soft bellied club across the board since the break up of Ricky and Freddie in 2004 with flashes of hope in late 07 through 2008 and in 2010......but the real, rotten to the core problems are still there.

Yep agree. There are too many people willing to put all the blame on Smith. It should be 50/50 as far as I'm concerned.

I've held the line from day dot on this issue that while Smiff should share in the blame, after all he picks the players each week, the problems existed b4 Smiff and will after unless we cut them out.

I'm hoping in 2 weeks we get some satisfaction with at least one of the main problems we have goorrnnee.

Their are no Islander boys at Newtown in key positions that could step up to replace Mini Anasta Pearce & Friend otherwise I think Smith would.

I rate Robbie Farah higher than Friend. Isaac De Gois is also better than Friend and has a better name. What we need is a Kingston/Farah type hooker. I wish Arona played like Dallas Johnson and hope Cordner turns into a Hinchcliffe

As much as you can't blame smith for the errors the fact is the players are not wanting to correct it and this us when the coach comes in and provides motivation. The captain also needs to work the boys on the field. It's obvious from the body language that there is teamwork and everyone is playing for themselves . Sad really.
