    200-250k is plenty for him.
You might be right but the prob is that if you offer him that much then he goes elsewhere and becomes a gun with a decent coach.

Ask the Storm if we can swap him for Justin O'Neill

That's probably the biggest problem we have at the moment. It also goes for guys like Kennedy and Tasi. You know that one day they are going to peak but at the moment they are poor. If kennedy or tasi leave us at the end of next year, then you would bet your house on it that they will come back and bite us on the backside one day ala shillo, hodges, Coward, winterstein and recently linnett. What can you do?

If u think that O'neil is a better defender or attacker than Skd, then you have lost your marbles mate. He's just as bad and infact worse.

This is pretty much bang on, O'Neill would be a disaster in our current team, we have enough stiflers in the backline without adding another in this guy.

The issue with SKD isn't his ability it's that along with Takarangi he's the only one capable of going outside of a structure to unlock the opposition defence. Pearce tries his hardest as seen with the nice set up for the first try but; a) he's not what I would consider a creative player (the majority of tries he sets up are through structures and he's one of the best in the comp at that, but he's not a creative player) and, b) it's way too easy for the defence to pick off one player.

The lack of any attacking spark in the fullback & 5/8 positions means that we constantly find ourselves throwing the ball to Taka & SKD expecting them to create something for us.

If SKD started with that try in a 2010 game and then continued to play a more refined game everyone would've said he did his job well.

Hey Vinegar Boy, Leilua has already been chosen for NSW as 18th man. Linnett is more efficient but in Origin what they look for is speed and strenghth. This is what Leilua has. Linnett is better IMO but selectors dont fancy the linnett style but fast strike players. Linnett can score and defend but is he fast and strong no.

Now take holiday to Mt Kilimanjaro and take Winterstein, Faifai Loa and Ben Jones with you!!!

spanner was a player to fear! i watched him at fullback carve up our backs, then i settled back into the front row, hoping to surprise him in a ruck or maul, the only way i could catch him!

Uh I think you will find that Linnett is a very strong outside back and bursts through alot of holes in defence. Oh and look out he was picked as 18th man, sadly that don't go down in the record books as being an origin player.

No one said it goes down in the record books but it's certainly a valid point when considering who's closer to origin selection not that I think origin selection really holds any weight on whose the better player in the first place. It's a pretty dire argument tbh.

The Roosters will regret letting Linnett go. The kid used to be a 400 metre runner, so running 100 metres flat out just comes naturally to him. He is a solid defender and can bust tackles.

The Roosters will probably try and get him back towards the end of his career or pay overs to get him back in a few years.
