I will add that Peace is pushing shit up hill as the only play maker in the team.

I reckon mini will play most of next season in fullback with Roger churning in every now and then. Roger needs to get the feel for nrl before going into that key role and that could easily take another 20 games before he is 100%. If he is chucked into fullback right now and he makes mistakes and fails to run as a support player he will get absolutely burnt by this board. With time and easing him in he will become a rooster great.

You're an absolute genius. How on earth did you work that out.

Unlike Mini, Hayne does not touch the ball 2 times a set and act as the second 5/8. He also hasn't played anywhere near as much as Mini this season and he certainly wasn't setting the world on fire anyway...

Just on the Mini criticism...I think im out on a limb here with other forum posters but I believe he has been one of our best this year.

Being a "reward for effort" kind of person when assessing who should be in the top squad, I see Mini having another year in him.

Move him to the wing by all means but I still think he can add value to the top squad.
I agree with you Jack. Mini has definitely declined but he has still been one of our better players. And he is still the best fullback under the bomb in the comp IMO. Cant tackle though and cant pass real well either but he gives 100% each week. Id be happy for him to stay next year as long as its on the wing or as a back up in case of injury. Sheck needs to play fullback.

RTS has shown more in two games than Perrett showed in 140+ games for us.

Tuivasa-Sheck, has speed, elusive footwork, can tackle - all the things Perrett lacked.

Even in a bad year on the table, finally ridding ourselves of Anasta and Perrett has been a silver lining. I guarantee by this time next year, Perrett will be playing NSW cup.

SOO is great, but we need a strong international game as well. If the Kiwis continue to improve at the current rate, the international game may return as the pinnacle of rugby league, and there wouldn't be such a strong focus on SOO.

I would love for Tests to generate the same interest and rivalry as other trans-tasman sports.

Besides, NSW have some great juniors coming through. In the current junior teams, NSW is outperforming QLD. QLD's days are numbered.
I agree with you 100%. QLD and NSW have enough good players to choose from and it would be great if the idea of NZ having their own Origin came about.
We need to get Test football up where Origin is in terms of crowd interest, not weaken it.

So if I were Gus/Sticky/Freddy/Barrett/Bob Fulton/Loz, I would be on the phone straight away to RTS trying to get him play for NSW Blues.
He told ABC radio that he's most certainly be a Kiwi. This was said during his interview right after the game.

                      ---

                      That said:
                      - First league played in NSW.
                      - First junior footy club = NSW.
                      - First professional club = NSW.

IMO the rule should go back to being if you play in NSW, that's where you compete. Storm/Raiders/Warriors players need to apply to the NRL for special permission and the NRL decides, NOT THE PLAYERS!!!!

If you move then you play for the state where you play. That way the Origin teams will be fair rather than QLD taking all NSW/NZ's players away although they're already winning.

Then it wld be more of an all stars match like they do in the u.s.a.

Which wouldnt be a bad concept having the likes of benji and burgess playin for nsw. cld also have a tri series involving nsw-qld-southerners.
                        Southerers being players from melb,raiders,warriors.

Cld be a good moneyspinner series after the GF.

                          From the Telegraph today.

                          MINI'S MAJOR ISSUE

THERE are suggestions that Roosters coach Brian Smith will consider playing young gun Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at fullback for the final two games of the year.

Tuivasa-Sheck is a fullback who is being played on the wing, but champion veteran Anthony Minichiello would resist any move to switch him to that position.

                          Thoughts?

I think if Mini put a stop to this happening, he should be shown the door.

If true it's poor form from Mini. I've bagged him as a player he is way past it but as a great club man I have much respect.

He should be better than that.

Tigers were favourites at the start of this year somehow.
                                Look how that ended up.
