Sydney Roosters Academy Graduate Blake Steep Re-Commits
The Sydney Roosters have today announced that Blake Steep has extended his contract with the Club for a further two seasons, keeping him with the Tricolours until at least the end of 2028.
A powerful forward who has progressed through the Sydney Roosters Academy, 20-year-old Steep established himself as a regular first-grader in 2025, making 22 NRL appearances in his breakout season.
Roosters Head of Recruitment, Joel Carbone, said Steep’s extension was a fitting reward for his development and attitude.
“Blake has been a terrific addition to our NRL squad and he’s a great example of the pathways we’ve built through the Roosters Academy,” said Carbone.
“He’s a player who works hard for every opportunity, and his growth over the past couple of seasons is a credit to his approach and consistency. We’re really pleased to see him continue his journey with us and believe he’ll play an important role in the years ahead,” he added.
Steep expressed his pride in extending his stay with the Club.
“I’m really proud to be part of the Roosters. The Club means a lot to me; it’s helped me grow as a player and as a person,” said Steep.
