I remember going out on the supporters bus from the club and arriving in 40 degree midday heat. I was taken to the ambulance room with sunstroke and they covered me in sunscreen. They tried to send me home and I said not until I get MY trophy...LOL...the things we do for our beloved Roosters.

I was wearing my Minor Premiers T-shirt aka the "We beat the Vermin at Homebush to get this" shirt and I wore it as recently as yesterday. It has a hole in it and bleach stains somewhere but I do not care. 18-8 did not bother us at all did it as we KNEW! I had known all that year we were going to win and said as much to Trent Robinson in the car park on ANZAC Day as he signed my cap for me.

There are pros and cons about going to grand finals. For me, I've been able to put some great memories in the bank with family and friends for attending in person but when there are stressful ones like 2019 with the 6 again rubbish, I was fuming too much to enjoy..I even didn't finish my cheese plate that night and that is so unlike me.. So grateful I was at home for that. I remember texting you in a fury because less than 10 mins after full time, Trent was stuck on a channel 9 desk with J Thurston rambling on about the 6 again..I ended up giving away that DVD as I can't watch it again.

The 2013 is definitely my favourite grand final of all time.
Yes it was a really stinking hot day so i delayed getting out to the ground till the sun was a bit lower in the sky, i remember you texting me that saying you were being treated for sunstroke in the ambulance room and i was worried that you might miss the game because of it.
Have pics of you in that T Shirt on one of the hard drives, yes to me also 2013 is my favourite Grand Final, Tupou finishing off the Wolfman David Williams career, he was never the same after the game.I still have my ticket to the match in a dark drawer so it doesn't fade, will have to dig it out to see what the pricing was. It was such a good game with so many twists and turns .

Found it in my Roosters treasure box..LOL..we paid $165 and my seat was Gate G section 115 Row 18 seat 15.
Yikes, that T-shirt has done the rounds. I have a photo of me and SKD with the trophy when I was wearing it at the fan day later in December. I remember security closely watching one of the gentlemen on here thinking he was going to run away with it..LOL..I'll let him mention it if he wants..
      His name rhymes with Shandy..

That makes me very happy Andy . It's the only Roosters DVD I have ever given away. I keep meaning to stream our prelim final against the Titans from 2010 as that's available now to view on a few sites. That was the one where poor Mr Minichello had 2 jerseys sewn into one to support both Mark & Anthony. I still have a great photo of Jake and SKD walking through the airport looking so excited to be heading to a grand final.

I found all the tickets for the home prelims finals from 2010 and those were around $50 and $60. Those were against Wests (well worth the price for that one we can all agree) and against Penrith too. I remember Shannon being interviewed by Freddy for a little segment they did on him behind the scenes for that game and they went to buy hotdogs..yikes..I saw Shannon on the bus on election Saturday back in May as I was heading to the junction after voting at the school down on the beach. We had a good chat as we'd beaten the Dolphins the night before.

I also have some old tickets from Parra games from 1991 where the price was $14. That was when I first moved to Sydney and got a job. Life was simple then. No bloody smart phones or QR codes for starters..

          40 to 45k max perhaps?

Always a problem in the AFL with a maximum of around 40,000 tickets available to the General Public including competing club members. MCG Capacity is 100,024

They do have significantly larger club membership numbers so a stack miss out on tickets.

          Geelong Cats - 92,379
          Brisbane Lions - 75,515
We can buy up to 8 through work at 10% discount for a 24 hour window. I don't know how many are allocated to our company as a major. I'd rather wait until next year..2026,,the postcode grand final I'm calling it from now...

I have seen the ticket a few times in the last couple of months but at the moment i can't locate it. Still have the signed Easts flag that Tones gave me many years ago, it is tucked safely and i pull it out every now and then to have a look at it.
Slightly OT but talking about misplaced things, when the unit was being repainted a couple of years ago i had a watch which i put away at the last moment as things had to be covered up, do you think i could find it after the work was done, NO, pulled so many drawers and cupboards out but nothing, a couple of weeks ago started a spring clean i moved my bed side table out to check there wasn't any mould from the winter and under neath the table was the watch, had been frustrating trying to find it but have it back now.

I always think of you and Tones when I go down what I like to call Kevin Hastings Parade. . I always get lost in the back streets of North Bondi as there are so many avenues. I need to put all of my match tickets into a scrapbook along with all of my memorabilia as I bought some really nice white ones but have been too lazy/busy/sick to do it.. I want to put everything in chronological order from over the years. Gad you found your watch too. I don't have mould in the new place thank goodness but I did have to wrestle with a Vermin fan to get this apartment..the nerve of some people.....I had to get out all my hipster crystals to cleanse the place afterwards. I have my Centurions framed print on the sideboard and miniature boots hanging over the book case with Freddy and Johnny Peard's books on display. My neighbour comes to help me with stuff sometimes and it keeps him occupied..LOL..

Tones was a really lovely and caring guy. I did the walk from O' Brien St down to the beach last Wednesday after seeing my father and was looking around some of the side streets and remembered the times when we used to visit friends in Beach Rd back in the late 60 s and early 70 s, they were great times and Bondi was a special place back then.

Touch wood no mould this year either because i bought a dehumidifier, just checking some of the old areas where it used to lurk and the window frames need a good clean from previous years, the main bedroom has been done, just need to the spare room now. Still have my 2002 Grand Final print in the spare room at the moment, protected in bubble wrap, needs a spare wall to hang it.

Tones is the best..another of my chosen Roosters family. We had great vege pizza in Canberra when I went down there years ago. I'm just around the corner from where you walked but I was still a mess after a family funeral last week plus having conjunctivitis so have only just resurfaced this week to venture outside. Glad your Dad is still going ok. I have the Dolly Parton tea towel you gave me framed and on my blanket box so I can see her. I don't want to derail this thread so I'll move our chit chat elsewhere.

I'll keep it ticket related by saying next year I will have access to 8 grand final tickets through work...for when we have a Roosters 2026 Bondi postcode double header grand final.

That means 7 of you will need to be nice to me for a whole 12 months..

Does the NRL have a system where people who have purchased tickets but decide not to go can get their money back and the NRL are then able to re-sell them?

Not sure I would purchase tickets prior to the GF unless I knew the Roosters in either NRLW/NRL were playing in the Grand final.

There must be a better system for this as the NRL own the tickets and have a veto on how and to whom they are re-sold to.

Not being a smart arse but I googled it and it came up with Ticketek Marketplace.

Easts75 you might have some luck here.
