We need a proper League winger who wants to play for our club and be coached by Trent.
People keep saying that, but I've seen some huge defence from him, saving tries. Can only get better.

...and I had only just learned how to pronounce his name!

Does this mean our premiership window becomes the size of one of those small modern bathroom ones?

I can't spell or pronounce his name, and can't be bothered learning.

Only if he's actually defending on his wing, guarding the sideline...which he wasn't in the Sharks final when two tries were scored by his opposite winger Mulitalo.

He made great decisions second half of the season jamming in at the right times BB

Meanwhile Dom Young seemed to regress even further at the Knights watching Addo Carr run past him 6x times in the last round - one where he was defending at prop for some reason...

I hope he does well in 2026 and we win the comp.
Opposition coaches could have him worked out by then though.
He might find it more difficult to score tries, so we need to come up with other ways.
Fitzy had worked Toops out and had his players out- jump him.
New ways to score tries needed.

We are definitely over due in 2026 to play another GF. The old trophy cabinet is looking a bit bare these days.

Way to much drama, excuses and nonsensical catch phrases surrounding our great club in recent times.

Here's hoping we are ready to rip and tare from round 1 next year.

With Marky moving on and Toops most likely to retire after next season, we'll need to find 2 quality wingers that can slot in and do the job.

Unfortunately the Roosters pay the price for being a successful club both on and off the field.

Players and coaches often move on to better their careers. It's no different to any other workplace I suppose.

So basically we're going to most-likely need 2x new wingers for 2027 ?

Mark leaves and potentially Toops retires at the end of next season as well !?

Reported that the Big Dog may be coming back as a mentor

It comes as the Roosters get set to welcome back club legend Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who will reportedly join Trent Robinson's coaching setup as a mentor for the team's young forwards next year.

Yep, It’s a significant looming problem for us. I really doubt Toups will go around again in 27; he was looking his age a bit towards the back end of the year. We didn’t have any centres coming into this year either, so these things tend to work themselves out.

We're lucky to have had a great lot of talent come through.
Guess that’s one spin on it,but I’d say our lack of success over the last 6 seasons says otherwise. I mean we’ve been competitive, but I think there has been a lack of talent identification until this year when we were forced to due to so many leaving. Also no other club wanted Joseph & it’s why Souths were not fussed about him going as they knew it was inevitable. I’d say no one else tried hard with Mark either as in the end it won’t go much for us. The Carter bloke from Titans looks like going to,so the whole Union poaching thing has been a waste of time.
