Tbh is has allready done a lot in the nrl in one year
highest try scorer and most likely dally m winger if the year
will play test footy this year and maybe SOO next year
knocks off most on the bucket list in 2 years
rugby has worldwide comps and travel, a World Cup that rugby league would never dream about
I like both games - yes it’s hard watching out players that seem to be going however keep in mind we got Marky from rugby and rts and suaali both played rugby and schoolboys for nz and Aus

he is the best winger in the comp and provided us with brilliant tries and try assists along with topping the try scoring

we got him for a bargain and he owes us nothing - I would love him to come back but who knows

For 2027 we will be in the market for 2 wingers now
I don't see him as the best winger in the comp.
He's the leading try scorer, but he has deficiencies.

So who do the Roosters target for the wing positions for 2027 ? - Mark leaving and not sure if he will return and it's also unknown what Toops will do past 2026. - Only 22 games away from most games for the Roosters - JWH on 310 and Toops currently on 289.

Tbh not many wingers are great defenders and he still tackles at 90%
wingers get made to defend in and push out so they allways are doing to leak tries
he is a big unit who loves contact, is great in the air and can break tackles, flick passes and score tries not many other wingers can
just because he is leaving doesn’t mean we need to go on a bag session of him

              Just having some fun mate.

I think he'd adjust nicely to Roosters style footy though.

Left centre perhaps. Great awareness of the subtle nuances required to be a great attacking centre. Too injury prone to be playing fullback these days!

The strength of the British Pound must be tempting.

The other admirable aspect of Marky Marks game is that it's clear that he's worked hard on those deficiencies. His stats show significant improvement in key areas towards the back end of the season. Fast learner perhaps.

Dom was improving all the time.
The Pen reckoned he couldn't tackle, let tries in down his wing...
...and couldn't wait to get rid of him.
Was he really? Remind me how many tries he scored for Newcastle after he left us?

                    The Club might feel "cheated".
'Rookie of the Year', Club believed he should stay and was staying?
Club turned him into a star that he certainly was not.
My guess is that some in the Club might not be very happy today.
There was talk recently of a ten year contract?

No wonder we can't succeed. There's always some major drama, either things like this and Suaalii, Souths complaining, or drugs scandal etc etc.

No the club allways knew he was a chance to go back particularly when he only signed to 2026 with a home RWC in 2027
He has allready played for the wallabies and in a RWC he was allready a star internationally and an athlete
just not known to nrl only fans - oh maybe there are actually great rugby players out there?
                      10 yrs ffs
the beauty is they are hopeful he is back for 2028

                        This is strike 2.

Strike 1 was wasting 2 years teaching Suaalii to play NRL.

We must now develop or buy a replacement winger for the start of 2027 season.
If that means Marky has to play some NSW Cup in 2026 then so be it.

We need a winger who can tackle as well as score tries.
                        Right so no
jwh, Keary, Manu, suaali, rts in the past and we get rid of the below current squad members who all played rugby?
Marky m, toia, Billy smith, walker, savala, Watson, Whyte, Wong, critchon, steep, Foketi, king, rodwell, Elliot, McAathie?
we won’t have a team left

Bùt they didn't come from rugby straight into first grade, causing a good player to be moved on, then leave as fast as they came.

                            Newcastle was in disarray.
Before he came to us he scored something like 23 tries for the season.

We didn't very often give him the ball with room to move.
When he left us he could catch bombs well.

If dom young was such a great player why was he dropped? Then moved on? He wasn’t good enough
Marky was in front of him
he has pace and that’s where it ended! He defence was horrible and he ran sideways offering no yardage

                                Incorrect. That’s Zac Lomax. [/QUOTE

Commentator said Marky was. Maybe Lomax overtook him.
Anyway, Marky is no 3...with 45 errors.
Or no 2 depending which article you read.
