Feels like a storm and Penrith repeat grand final again
clown can’t ref 18 penalaties stop start game
he looses control and just blowes the whistle
many inside 10 ones where you just need to talk to the players and warn them and hear high ones which were not

He doesn’t talk to the other players and looses control taking over games with his whistle
but still somehow gets picked for the big games

Usual grinding win by Storm last night, especially over n in form Sharkies.
Won't knock over Broncos next week.

Storm just know how to win, they are a smart team Munster and Hughes identify a weakness and exploit it like no others, the second the sharks tired middles started to drop off tackles and slowly get back 10 boom Munster kick Pappy try same with the Hughes solo try.
Halftime siren sounds and you see Grant Hughes and Pappy all taking to each other about what they have seen and how they can capitalise that’s a brains trust everyone is where they're supposed to be and doing what they’re supposed to be doing.

I used to hate Melbourne, why hate a team that can consistently over 2 decades get the big wins? The Roosters bought the brains trust in Cooper for our back to back had Coops stayed down there they win three in a row possibly four if you count 2020.

Well done Melbourne they will be playing Penrith next week the other battle hardened champion team.

A fairly lack lustre game which didn't reach any great heights one has to say.

Sure 18 penalties made it a stop start affair but if similar incidents are penalised during the regular season then the ref's need to be consistent in penalising them in finals matches as otherwise players will take advantage of not being penalised.

Fitzy would be scratching his head and wondering what or whom the Sharks need to go to the next level

Of the 4 Preliminary final sides so called spines the Sharks had the least senior rep level players in the 1/6/7/9 roles- Hynes the only one having played 2 SOO games for NSW.

Of course not a lot if any of these type of players are on the market if considering changes to the spine to get to that next level.

          Sharks
          • Kennedy - No Senior reps
          • Trindall - No Senior reps
          • Hynes - 2 NSW SOO Games
          • Brailey - No Senior reps

          Storm
          • Papenhuyzen - No Senior reps - probably second to Tedesco for a while - a fair few injuries/concussions have curtailed his senior rep opportunities
          • Munster - QLD SOO/Australian International
          • Hughes - New Zealand International
          • Grant - QLD SOO/Australian International

          Panthers
          • Edwards - NSW SOO/Australian International
          • Talagi - No Senior Reps - of course Luai was the 5/8 for those 5 GF's - NSW SOO/Samoan International
          • Cleary - NSW SOO/Australian International
          • Kenny - No Senior Reps

          Broncos
          • Walsh - QLD SOO
          • Hunt - QLD SOO/Australian International
          • Reynolds - 2 NSW SOO Games
          • Paix - No Senior reps

Roosters - 2026 If DCE is signed
          • Tedesco - NSW SOO/Australian International
          • Walker - No Senior Reps
          • DCE- QLD SOO/Australian International
          • Robson - NSW SOO

Storm v Panthers GF again IMO but the result this year will be Melbourne as Premiers.
The Storm are such an incredibly good club.
Can someone fill me in by letting me know if there is another sporting team in the world that has been a powerhouse for the last 22 years?

Good post with the team we field next season anything less then top 4 and a PF/GF will be a complete failure considering we were able to make the 8 this season with a vastly different team mostly inexperienced.

Can I just ask why Michael Jones?
This is what I found when I googled Michael Jones
What is Michael Jones famous for?
Michael is most known for his roles as Sting Eucliffe in Fairy Tail, Sun Wukong in RWBY, and Dogra in One Piece, as well as being one of the prominent members of Achievement Hunter. He also hosts the 100% Eat Podcast.
He actually has a podcast called 100% Eat that he does with Jordan Spears the guy behind the Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures. They try all the new foods on menus at fast foods and restaurants

You may then think why am I Mickey Lane?
I just remember when I was young & the Roosters trialed David Smith but they called him Mickie Lane, I also think St George trialed a guy maybe it was Mitch Brennan who they named as Mickie Lane.
I dont know why the Chooks or St George did that but I thought if Im going to use an alias here on the Chookpen that Mickie Lane would be appropriate.
If you dont want to answer my question thats fine, Im glad youre back on here anyway.

                      Thank you for the alias identifier, I think I vaguely remember the Mickie Lane trialing , I actually thought it was either;

1/ Your actual name, or an euphemism for...
                      2/ The laneway of delight.

My guess is Mick Jones from The Clash. I could see straight away. It would be like me coming back under George Michael

We are passionate about our music collections as much as our Roosters.

                            The Sharks played ok.

Unforced errors at key moments let them down.
