Ha..Believe it or not, i was just about to write up a similar post..hand of God truth.

Yeah, unfortunately Fitzy took the Bondi wall with him when he left end of 2021, just renamed it to the shire/ hobbit wall.
Look at that defense last 3 weeks, 6 vs Dogs, 10 Vs Us and 12 Vs Raiders
I highly doubt we would have won the comp's in 2018 & 2019 without Fitzy as our defense coach.

I've come to the conclusion that Trobbo is a total myth. Compare this Nulla side with ours. We have 5 or 6 origin players to their none.
So why are they regularly finishing higher than us? Better coach that ours?...that's not even debatable anymore.
Add this to the Politis long list of fark ups, should have kept the Fitz over Trobbo.

    Up Up Cronulla...

I still don’t rate the Guppies - they will get hammered by the Storm and Nicko will be the scapegoat (again).

          Maybe, but I'm not convinced.

Credit where it's due, Sharks goal line defence has been exceptional.

To be honest, in our game with them, Marky Mark made that try happen out of nothing - it just was not on. He is just a freak. The Crichton try from the Walker kick was the only other time we broke through.

We just did not look like troubling them at all generally speaking, and we are one of the comps top attacking teams.

I think Sharks will upset Melbourne, but not by much.

The Dogs are finished. And I think with the extra game will see Penrith not quite have enough in the tank to make it again.

Shaping up as a Broncos v Sharks GF imo.

The storm will be comfortable favs and deserve to be
they had the week off and will be at home
sharks will need to do it for a third week in a row including travel

roosters literally sat it up on a dinner plate for the sharks completing at 65% making 16 errors
If that was 85-90% we win comfortably
raiders were shot after last week and lost strange early

it was a missed opportunity for us against the sharks as we would have done Canberra

but out of the last 5 teams standing 4 are strong in defence - only broncos left who are all out attack

I'd like to see Cronulla win for Fitzy, but then I'd hate to see them win because of Mulitalo. So have no idea what to think ? any chance if the Sharks win they do a 1981 Parra ....and burn Shark park to the ground ?

                    I'm on the Nulla bandwagon.

                    They will beat Melbourne.

                    Anyone but Penrith this year.
If the Storm don't build a right side defence to stop Mulitalo and co from scoring tries they'll go the way of the Roosters and Raiders...beaten.

Time we followed our own coaching manual, the one we trained Fitzy with, and built a team of tall, muscular and fast backs and forwards and played like the Sharks do.
They draw, pass...draw pass,...draw, pass...we run to the defence then try miracle offloads and passes which often result in lost possession.
We get the ball inside opposition 20-30, and most times, like the Raiders did, we try to barge thru the forwards one-out from a standing start.

To be fair neither the Roosters or Raiders really tested the Sharks defence as both were rather lack lustre in attack - A rested Storm will.

Sharks came up against easy opposition
we completed at 65% and still nearly beat them
we were well off our game
raiders were cooked off the week before
I expect a comfortable win for the storm

Not sold yet, I remember middle of the year they played Storm & Broncos back to back and had 30+ points put on them in both games.

They still feel like the odd team out in the final 4 for me.

But not really interested in seeing any of the other 3 win so hoping for Fitzy's sake they can get it done.

The Bondi Wall was dismantled by V’Landys in May 2020 when Fitzy was assistant coach . The dribble about Fitzy taking the wall with him is lame romanticism.

Yeah that whom Bansai meant when he said the "Union bufoon". Fella used to work for Collette Dinnigan and he's now got our D? Forget 2026.

And BB's come out for the Shire. No surprise, Scotty Morrison No.1 ticket holder. Where there's life there's hope - Scotty redemption anyone?
