I think this is why mgt is so pissed off.

A sad turn of events but after what Nick has said about players caught doing coke (shouldn’t have said it imo) he has to go. A shame because off the ball Radley is one of our best. His defence has been great and I know he has lost his edge a bit hit up wise and is a concussion magnet (credit though he fixed it up by mid year) but I think he still had more to offer.
From what Radley has said in the past (won’t play against us), he’ll probably end up in the super league.
He’ll always be a Roosters legend.EASTS TO WIN!

Posters should wait until the club makes an official statement and not rely on what media gossip columnists write or say.
A review should also be undertaken by the QLD Government into how the media outlets obtained copies of these text messages when they are subject to an impending court case.
Police state tactics should not be tolerated by any citizen, irrespective of any alleged and unproven crime that any citizen may be charged with or alleged to be associated with.

The whole situation is very sad. I still don’t know why his name isn’t redacted. Even in the text messages that Smith had with his mates regarding the betting info, the others involved in the texts are referred to as Friend A and Friend B. Victor has not been charged with anything so why is his name allowed to be plastered all over the media?

Maybe the other players who indulged on the golf trip need to front up to the club and say "we did it too", rather than just let Rads take the fall.
That might take some of the heat off Radley, they can all be put through some sort of education program, and we can move on.
Would the club sack Sam Walker or Tedesco if it was them and not Rads? Not a chance.

And of course the gossip media vultures like Weidler would have been watching with bated breath.
Radley probably should have had legal representation deal with the prosecutors to try and have his name redacted.

Right or wrong my guess is over 50% of NRL players (ie young people today with disposable income) take party drugs from time to time. Some of the comments on this site are completely out of touch with the younger generation and quite frankly naive and disappointing. Victor has been great for our football team and most are ready to throw him under the bus and out of the club for something that is common place in modern day young persons society. Also for something other clubs give offenders of the same misdemeanour a one week suspension.
I have no doubt our stance on this right or wrong will make us a far less desirable club for future prospects. One slip up and you’re gone. If trying to attract player A and he’s making a decision between us and any other club and it’s borderline he will choose the club that doesn’t kick you to the kerb the first time you get caught doing something that is common practice amongst the majority of young people today that can afford it.
I love our club and Uncle Nick but his comments were always going to catch up with us and bite us on the arse. They were naive, off the cuff and said just to get a moral victory over the old enemy. Now we have made a rod for our own back that is going to be a burden.

The boss loves the Roosters very very much, which is evident by his actions over past decades.
Board members the same.
They all simply will not let the club suffer in any way if they can possibly avoid it.....I truly believe.
