Looks bad for Rads but except for the text there's nothing else.

BUT if it was for personal use of a player then that player needs to go.

These guys are paid a shitload, you go in knowing the rules, you break them the take the consequences. I cant find that much sympathy and the club cant look like hypocrites.

Punt one and hopefully that sends a message.

and does nick saying there will be no second chances outweigh the nrl's advice that there should be a warning for a first offence?

rads has bled for the club and deserves more respect. i don't know how common coke use is amongst this group but if everyone who has used it was banned could we put 13 on the field?
He sent texts to the alleged drug dealer, got into his car and scored. How would you feel if you were the CEO of BYD or a parent who's child is in the Roosters Academy? The potential damage from the fallout can't be measured.

It’s sad on so many fronts. I hate seeing our Club dragged through the media like this. Work mates stating Teddy shouldn’t get Dally M etc etc. Sad for Rads who has bled for us. Sad for his wife as well and his Dad. Probs won’t play for England either now. But it’s not as if the view from the top wasn’t known.

I wonder when his last drugs test was - or don’t they do that anymore with NRL players. You know- knock on the door at 6am and ask for a sample.

One last comment - as much as I love him had the changes in the game meant his style of play was no longer the way the NRL is played?

Unless Victor has a history of drug use that the club knows about but has kept hidden, I believe he should be given the opportunity to prove to the Roosters' hierarchy that he will never use drugs again.

Whether you agree or not with punishment for doing what he did one thing is for sure… Nick has treated Victor very well and made it very clear where he stood when it came to drugs and Victor went and did it anyway.. that imo is a bigger issue and pretty much a **** you to Nick.. so I ain’t too broken up about it. Dumb.
TV news tonite said that Rad's lawyers are/were at Roosters HQ.
As written by another forumite here, NRL is a workplace and counselling and rehabilitation laws, along with unfair dismissal laws apply.
TV news also stated that the club and the NRL are waiting to see what the court case brings.
If Rads is not convicted of buying or using illicit drugs, and there's no proof he's used drugs... then one wonders what the grounds for dismissal would be.
Sitili was moved on and he did nothing wrong.
            It's all confusing.

I think certain drugs don’t last very long in your system, so unless done within 24hrs, it’s probably no point.

strange comments about Teddy not getting the Dally m, not sure how that is even a topic of debate?

That contract is a legal document, hence the lawyers.

That's near impossible now that Uncle Nick has publicly warned the players - Plus, the media are focusing on Nicks statement and running with the 'Nicks a man of his word' narrative.

The problem is Uncle Nick has made his stance and that stance doesn't leave wiggle room for second chances.

Radley is on $750k a season for 2026/27 so you can't force him out by relegating him to NSW Cup. Different story if he was on $130k as you could absorb such a small percentage of your top 30 salary cap playing Cup

Claims to be English. Can go home and play reserve grade.

Another head knock and retirement was imminent anyway.

Thanks Vic for playing a part in our two premierships and for the wonderful entertainment.

does rads have anything to do with the academy? it's had nothing but good press and the players it has produced are its best advertisement
