Cannot believe the brain dead decision to play Cam Murray for one game. Quite sad really to risk your club captain and only decent human being in the squad for a dead rubber purely to give them a sniff at beating us.

It’s quite a good move from Bennett playing Murray off the bench.
I would say that they will bring him on at the 50 minute mark, when the heat has gone out of the game.
If the scores are close at that stage of the game, the Roosters are in trouble- they will also have Walker off the bench, directing speedsters like AJ, Munro and Jye Gray around.
The game will open up by then, so it’s important that the Roosters dominate on the field , as well as the scoreboard to snuff out any chance of a Souffs victory.
A close game at the 60 minute mark will be a disaster, as the Bunnies will get their tails up, and will most likely ride the emotion though to a victory.
Plus some “favourable decisions “ for the downtrodden bunnies, from the officials, will help them get the job done.
That’s a disaster for our side, knocking us out of the finals, when we are a serious contender for this year’s premiership.

We need to watch out for their dwaft full back around the ruck.
Im predicting early kicks and midfirld bombs as Bombing to our wings wont help them.
Murrays scoots with support around the ball is danger.

We play our game the win is ours

I doubt they would be risking him unless he was fit. Remember they had the bye last week so he would have returned if they played.

Do not wish any ill feeling towards Murray , but wouldn’t this be ironic . It would serve the club management right if he goes down with an injury .

We sures as shit need to win this to block the Flippers. But we don't want injuries or suspensions. Hopefully, cool heads with our mob just focused on getting the job done clean....the niggle will def be there to put us off our game. Spence head down and ear plugs in. We've got something to play for and vermin have zip.

Souths have 2x props in their squad - we are starting with 3x in the first 13 alone

I know Robbo will want to win this through the middle but they are more vulnerable out wide defensively through the likes of Ward, Tass. AJ & Munro

This is exactly what Souffs want us focusing on why they're playing a,b,c, the ambush blah blah blah, this scumbag team and their fans are where they belong 3 years running no finals under Easts boot and that’s what we should be thinking about, going out their and absolutely squashing them and booting them back down the ladder, if you ask me how poetic is it that we are the start and end of their story have the chance to smash them into next season while we move forward that’s what we should be thinking.

Souffs, the scum of the league.

                  Go Easts!!!

Exactly Mickie. This is why I watch and love the game and can’t stand women playing.

How many times have we seen this, members confident and ebullient re the impending hate game? It's whistling in the dark, who could be confident re the result when they put 62 on us just a few years back in the same round and the Chooks were star studded then. I think the Chooks will get there and the absence of Trell will help but Murray will want to show everyone what they've missed all season - what might have been and wasn't because of injury. The loss to Parra also demonstrated the inconsistency that the team is prone to so in that sense is was a fortunate loss but Bennett will no doubt look very closely at what happened there. Teddy needs to inspire by playing through the ruck at every opportunity, he didn't against the Tigers.

but could you imagine if we had Teddy or rads coming off an acl or Achilles injury and couldn’t make finales and bought them back for 1 game to try and beat Souths?
The risk to loose them to re injury or reduce their pre season with a smaller injury is nothing but fkn dumb if you ask me

Still quite moronic I think. Also off the fact the he doesn’t want to play for Australia end of year.

It just reeks of schoolyard mentality and unprofessionalism, which has plagued that club for the last decade or so. Not the smartest bunch. Still dangerous on their day though. Need to put them away this Friday.

no doubt we need to turn up but souths don't have much to play for. their fans would love for us to be knocked out but not sure the players or bennett will buy much into that.
when they thrashed us we were already assured of finishing top 4. different story this season. anyway, that's what i'm hoping

Souths have a strong side. The forwards are solid. Tallis is shining on the edge and that baby faced Austin kid's got the smarts and the kicks. Munro is obviously a star in waiting. Sam Walker will need to be at his best defensively and not have total control in attack.

It's insane to say that the players won't have the passion. This derby is age old. Rusty will be at his emotionally motivating best. Defence will decide it and they'll lift every time Murray comes on. The crowd will be huge.

A win here would make the season a successful one for mine. There'll be an even up for the bloodbath and, if they can play the footy we've seen, a payback for the 60+ disaster. But I think our error rate will make it a close affair.

Odds on Souths will reprise the bloodbath. Let's hope Rusty won't get to give the thumbs down a rerun.
