    Is old Rusty still around?
I haven’t seen his face for ages.
Maybe he has been too embarrassed to show it -the vermin we’re contenders for the spoon a couple of weeks back.

It's insane to say that the players won't have the passion. This derby is age old. Rusty will be at his emotionally motivating best. Defence will decide it and they'll lift every time Murray comes on. The crowd will be huge.

A win here would make the season a successful one for mine. There'll be an even up for the bloodbath and, if they can play the footy we've seen, a payback for the 60+ disaster. But I think our error rate will make it a close affair.

Odds on Souths will reprise the bloodbath. Let's hope Rusty won't get to give the thumbs down a rerun.
have a look at bennett in his latest presser. he won't be looking for his players to make it a bloodbath. souths have some good players but no momentum. maybe the rivalry makes them play above themselves - time will tell. either way, it's a huge game for us

They are on a three game winning streak - that’s fair momentum in my book mate.

          **** souffs though

the bye came at the wrong time for them. credit to them if they've kept the intensity over the last fortnight. as far as three game winning streaks goes theirs wasn't much. wins v titans, a parra team that apparently didn't play well and the dragons. a souths win is possible but i'm thinking a 20+ win for us is more likely

Sandon Smith as expected dropped out of the squad with the cutdown to 19. Foketi and King are the 18th and 19th players.

24 hr update, both sides 1-17. King & Foketi remain on the extended bench.

In other news, Jerome Hughes looks to have broken his wrist in his first game back from his shoulder dislocation.

Watch Souffs target Walker with a view to getting him HIA rlued out. They know we have very little in attack without him there.

Walker needs protection, his defence isn’t that bad it’s his lack of size that’s the problem, what I would give to have Maubs back for a game, Nat Butcher if fit could have protected Sammy all game long Smith and Gus need to look after him he is a target for big mobile back rowers and they will undoubtedly go after him.
