We are inconsistent beating a top side following by a loss to a lower team. If we follow this trend then next week might be our last game this season. We need to turn up and win even by a point.
Wayne Bennett has been working his magic with a depleted Souths team they are going to be primed for this one it's their grand final and biggest match in years to stop us from making the top 8 we could really use a Dolphins loss on sunday because Manly aren't going to make up the 100 points difference between us even with 2 wins

Robbo always goes with 4 forwards on the bench.
Thats ‘cause the pigs get tired and need to be rotated.
Sandon had a great game against the Storm - our backline worked effectively.
But Sandon is a half - he’s not big enough for hooker.
Its either Hugo/ Sandon , Walker/ Hugo , or Walker/Sandon in the halves - that’s where they belong.
      Connor is our utility.

        Ioelu was woeful.

Sandon should be the no.14. In saying that Watson is more effective off the bench. Looking forward to Robson starting next year.

I do like the idea of having him on the bench as he can play more positions than Ioelu (Fullback, 5/8, halfback and hooker) but lets not pretend Sandon Smith is anything more than a utility bench player or back up half at best.

Either way very happy to have both for a potential finals campaign.
Walker it 10 foot above Sandon
we really missed walkers creativity in the first half
Sandon constantly stuffs up the passing game either not passing, creating an intercept or passing to the wrong player
and as a 6 that’s the most important part to your game

sandon's defence is an issue for playing off the bench. defence is half the game and he's behind both benny and zdc on that front

I thought the whole team functioned better when Benny came off and Connor came on. Faster passing from dummy half and creativity and back peddling by storm went up several notches.

sure, connor's a very good player and that's what you'd expect. not to mention that connor was particularly good. sandon offers more with ball in hand out of dh than zdc and benny but his defence is a bit weak

And concede a win verses Souths. Hang your head in shame for suggesting this.

It's always brutal and we're always likely to lose players the following week to injury or suspension.

It's basically a final before the finals.
That’s generally the case when both teams have something to play for,in this case South’s have nothing to play for..

We will be too desperate in my opinion..

If the Titans win I would send the reserve grade team out to play Souffs, in all likelihood if we’re winning against them and winning well they will absolutely try to derail our finals campaign and target Sammy, Teddy and try to injure them you can see that happening.

Hopefully that’s the last we see of Ioelu in First grade for this year..

He’s had a good first season and has a promising future, but we have better options to close out the season.

                          Robson can’t come quick enough..

                          Go Easts!

The fact that he did not come back on in the second half was telling Vas mun.

I said this from the first game Walker was back. Sandton should be the reserve dummy half.

would have made a huge difference last week when we lost Walker and perfect utility during finals.
