Why does the left edge worry you? Billy Smith is solid as a rock and Angus goes ok. Do Tupou isn't noted for his defence.

No excuses against an ordinary team.

We are much stronger on paper, but they have shown some good signs lately. We need to rush Moses, and don't give Lomax or JAC any space. We should win the middle, and that opens the door for our 5 star backline. Another must win.

      Roosters by 2

      GO EASTS !!!

Alan Katzmann had a crazy stat about Toups where it has been 13yrs since we last played the Eels without him in the team.

The referee - Wyatt Raymond - has never refereed a Roosters game before. He's had Parramatta 6 times for 1 win and 5 losses.

A good team. However, wouldn't mind seeing the Concretor get a run.

Concentrate, tackle, respect the Eels, and we should win very well.

That's probably more a reflection of the Eels than it is of the ref's possible bias.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Damn right it's a shame that Toups is out. I was hoping for another hat trick. Good to see Wong back in the side, though. Should we be worried about any likely wet weather?

The Roosters need to respect the Eels as our season is on the line.
If we carry on the hard defence, it will go a long way to us winning.
The attack flows from good field position.
Getting up in the face of Lomax and Moses won’t hurt, either.

Good team. Shame D Tupou is out, although I’m interested to see how J Tupou goes. We just need to pick up where we left off last week.

I wasn't implying that but you're right. Wyatt has only been refereeing NRL for a year and Parra have been less than ordinary in that time.

Does anyone know what toops injury is? I hope it's not the usual end of season calf problem

He had some concussion symptoms, presumably from the hit he copped scoring his 3rd. I don’t think it’s anything serious, but he’s being rested as per our usual cautious approach to such things.

That's a sexy looking team albeit without D Toops.

                            Roosters 18 plus.

                              Toops for a toops
interesting to see his he goes big wraps early on and similar size so should still be able to use his aerial skills
lets hope we continue the aggression and commitment and put on a good scoreline here
being close with the 8 we need to win big as plus points may come into the equation end of year to make the 8
