  • Two Roosters charged following yesterday's match.

Following the Sydney Roosters’ Round 23 match against the Dolphins, two Roosters players have been cited by the Match Review Committee. Naufahu Whyte has been charged with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct offence for an incident in the 9th minute of the match. Should Whyte enter an early guilty plea, he will receive a $1,000 fine. If he challenges the charge and is found guilty at the panel, he will receive a $1,500 fine.

Spencer Leniu has been charged with two Grade 1 Contrary Conduct offences for incidents in the 8th and 9th minutes of the match. For Charge 1, an early guilty plea will result in an $1,800 fine, while an unsuccessful challenge will result in a $2,500 fine. For Charge 2, an early guilty plea will also result in an $1,800 fine, while an unsuccessful challenge will result in a $2,500 fine.

    Enjoy the Bahamas holiday, MRC!

Dolphins forward Francis Molo is facing a ban following Saturday's loss to the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium. Molo has been charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle and will be suspended for one game with an early guilty plea, increasing to two matches should he fight the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary. Molo has also been hit with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge for his part in the melee that saw four players sent to the sin bin in the ninth minute. He faces a $1000 fine with an early guilty plea.

Fellow Dolphin Aublix Tawha and Rooster Naufahu Whyte also face a $1000 fine while Spencer Leniu is facing a total of $3600 fines after being charged with two Contrary Conduct offences.
Dolphins forward Kurt Donoghoe faces two charges after the Suncorp Stadium clash - a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle and a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge.

Games gone mad. When did a push and shove become worthy of 4 sin bins and $10k worth of fines.

Inflation seems to be impacting everything these days.

Francis Molo Grade 2 which by the NRL's standards means he should've been sin binned but wasn't even penalised. Would be interesting to see but I reckon we'd have to be up there for the most opposition players charged post match but not even penalised on the field..

Fair play to Whyte for just laughing in his face.

There was also a high shot tackle on Billy Smith early on that the ref was going to let go, until rooster players reacted.

The charge may have been on the hit on Marky.

there wasn't much in this molo hit but the other ones featured our players getting mcls. it's not like the bunker could have missed them. when you add sammy being binned for hitting low when he shouldn't have been penalised (because he wasn't third man in) there needs to be an investigation!

That’s what set off the whole drama. That Donoghoe guy was on a mission to smash and bait our players. Then the Tawha I think it was, hit on Billy really set Spencer off.

Good call. That all makes sense now that you mention it. I thought Spencer and Nafu more than held their own.

But imagine if Jared was still there...

It makes for good viewing all the drama. Alas I couldn't see the game live so can't comment on what happened. I just watched the highlights.
Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised by the final result. Can we continue this form? If so, bring on September I say!

Seriously caz, not at all. A fired up reserve grader. Which is all he is.

There’s nothing wrong with having a couple of your forwards playing on the fine line between what’s legal and what is not.
The opposition tends to respect the “ tough nuts” and leave them alone.
Case in point - Liam Martin.
I think the Dolphins came out against the Roosters thinking they could bash the team into submission.
A few other teams have taken us on in the forwards, and it’s worked.
It looks like the younger players in the team are now realising what it takes to succeed in the NRL - the resistance and aggression in the team has been evident over the last couple of games
Other than Spence, we have lacked a real tough nut since JWH left.
Angus shows some aggression when he gets going.
The other 2 likely candidates, I think are Whyte and Foketi.
Foketi’s driving tackles makes him a top candidate.

                              Really?

For all your farking outrageous negativity, self appointed BIG DOG, has not even watched the FULL GAME.

                              Only the HIGHLIGHTS.

But he was "pleasantly surprised by the final result"

Big Dog then asks, "Can we continue this form?"

Maybe watch the full games BIG DOG, and you might find out?

                              You legend you.
