I heard from a Tigers mate but not sure if true..
Yeh 2yr deal at the Tigers according to the Telegraph.

I've posted a couple times on him this year and whilst he's shown some signs of improvement since I think he's a long way off first grade. Even when we've been down on troops in reserve grade he's still struggled to make that team. Probably the club doubling down on the talents of Darcy Smith, James Finegan & Lachlan Dooner who are all super impressive young edge forwards in our system.

Wish him the best of luck, he's clearly a physical specimen.

Surprised Souths didn't have another crack at him, they went hard a few years ago

Speaking of Souths have signed a big unit Phillip Lavakeiaho from our SG Ball squad, he actually made his NSW Cup debut this year as well
Phillip Lavakeiaho - I’m quite sure this was manly that got him

but yes correct seems Roberts is behind quite a few now - eg steep and Foketi with others coming up with potential - he is only playing under 21s now so won’t be a big loss

Ethan Roberts is no loss at all. Like Tyler Morarity he’s useless. Never seen either stand out. Bye bye.

Not bad for a kid playing under 21s at only 17
Josh Durkin - regular kicker who has been great in that department all year broke his ankle early in the game unfortunately.

Souths confirmed his signing this week

Phillip Lavakeiaho, 18, is a new recruit to the Rabbitohs from the Roosters, joining South Sydney from the 2026 season.

Lavakeiaho is a big prop forward originally from Auckland, New Zealand, who had the honour of captaining the New Zealand Tū under 17s squad against the New Zealand Toa under 17s team in 2024. These squads were selected from New Zealand players based in Australia that were part of the NZRL’s Taurehere program, that played each other on the Gold Coast late last year.

Lavakeiaho has already played NSW Cup at just 18 years of age, and was a member of the Roosters’ SG Ball Cup premiership side this year. Lavakeiaho, a product of Matraville Sports High School in South Sydney territory, is playing in the Jersey Flegg Cup competition now that the SG Ball Cup competition has finished, and got a taste of senior football in the NSW Cup in June.
Described as a strong attacker and an aggressive defender, Lavakeiaho joins the Rabbitohs on a NSWRL contract in 2026 before being elevated to an NRL Supplementary List contract in 2027 and an NRL top 30 contract in 2028.
