Mini in 2004-2005 was pretty gaddamned special.... Although I think Slater 2011 was probably better than anything Mini has done.
Slater has fallen away a bit this year though with his injuries so we'll see if he can maintain form for longer than mini did.

Mini was the better tackle buster and metre eater Slater is more efficient now.
But in the early 2000's if there was one player you'd wanna go and watch it was Mini.

Slater is the best fullback I have ever seen.
In his heyday Mini was a human cannon ball. That was his strength. He was so good at bouncing off players but he had to be because he has never had a side step. He is now paying for that as his body is older and not able to bust tackles like he used to. Still great under the high ball though.
Mini was a legend and a great player. IMO though he was never as good as Slater is now. No one is.Embrace the Hate! JC

Fullback play has evolved a lot since Mini was at his best. The good fullbacks are the 'all-rounders' of the team. They have to be fast, elusive, strong, and at the same time be able to pass and kick like another halfback. Mini was fast, strong and elusive which was all you looked for in a fullback back around 2004/05 but now a fullback has to be so much more and Mini doesn't really possess those extra skills.

Mini throws 'one' miracle pass every couple of months and unfortunately five crapola passes each game. I still prefer watching Mini play than Slater the cat. Mini was never dirty. Slater was, is and always will be a cat.Member 2008 - forever

If the question is purely on the players in their prime .... as good as Mini was for us, I'd say Slater.
Mini's catching and passing aren't as good as Slater, though Mini would shade him under the high ball. Support play and hole running there's not much difference, but the one area I think Slater is far better and that is defensively.
